(RTI) (Nasdaq: RTIX), the Florida-based processor of orthopedic, dental, hernia and other biologic implants, announced today that it has signed an agreement to provide biologic implants to ENTrigue Surgical, Inc., the Texas-based  manufacturer of medical devices and instrumentation for the surgical treatment of conditions of the ear, nose and throat (ENT). BioMed SA Celebrates San Antonio: City of Science and Health

Some 100 biomedical industry leaders and supporters marked San Antonio's advancement as a "City of Science and Health" at BioMed SA's Annual Business Meeting December 10, 2008 at the Omni Hotel. 

"Our job at BioMed SA is to tell your story - the collective story of San Antonio as a City of Science and Health - and we have excellent material to work with in the form of success stories from each pillar of the biomedical industry," said President Ann Stevens.  She briefed attendees on strategic initiatives during BioMed SA's third full year of operation as a non-profit, membership-based organization supported in part by Bexar County and the City of San Antonio. Project to merge Army, Air Force Hospitals in San Antonio
SAMMC Ground Breaking 2008Army News Service, San Antonio, TX - December 10, 2008

Military leaders, construction officials, and wounded warriors joined to break ground on start of construction of the San Antonio Military Medical Center, a $724-million construction and renovation project at Brooke Army Medical Center and Wilford Hall Medical Center.
 
The construction, expected to take almost three years, will unify Wilford Hall Medical Center and Brooke Army Medical Center. The former will become SAMMC-South and Brooke will be known as SAMMC-North. Full Story.
