Irrespective of the circumstances, Muslims say, Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajeeoon (From God we come and to Him we return). FBI announced that their agents shot and killed Imam Luqman Abdullah [Detroit] during a raid related to a criminal complaint alleging that members of the mosque were engaged in criminal activity. Muslim Alliance of North America urged the law enforcement to not demonize American Muslims in general and African American Muslims in particular. Others say Imam Luqman was assassinated. American Muslim Task Force, a national coalition of Muslim organizations called for an independent investigation and so did the National Lawyers Guild. 

At the funeral of late Imam Luqman, mourners called for justice and a Detroit newspaper editor urges the government to heed calls for investigation. Others wrote to condemn that is condemnable upon verification while many questions remain unanswered.
