The Falcon All Star coaches are offering an
Skate Around for 2009-2010 Registered FYHA players.
For those interested in trying out for the
Falcon All Star team, this is a great chance
to meet the coaches and ask questions about the program.  No need to commit at this time.
Just come and play a little hockey,
meet the coaches and have some fun.
 
Official tryouts will take place
late in September or October.
 
All players must be registered with FYHA for 2009-2010 to participate.  Online registration will be available at the rink during the FYHAFree Open Skate.
 
Information on Mite Major, Squirt and Lady Falcons All Star will be coming soon!

ATTENTION ALL HOCKEY COACHES AND ANYONE INTERESTED IN COACHING OR HELPING OUT ON THE ICE FOR THE 2009/2010 SEASON!
 
USA Hockey Coaching Certification Clinics
have been scheduled for the Indianapolis area at:
The Arctic Zone Iceplex, 16616 South Park Drive, Westfield, IN  46074.
 
Level 1 Coaching Certification Class
SATURDAY, AUGUST 22nd

Level 2 Coaching Certification Class
SUNDAY, AUGUST 23RD
9:00AM-5:00PM

Requirement:  LEVEL 1
 
Level 3 Coaching Certification Class
Date: SUNDAY, AUGUST 23RD
Time: 9:00AM-5:00PM
Place: The Arctic Zone
Requirements: LEVEL  1 &  2
 
-Level 1 certification is required for all hockey coaches.
-Level 2 certification is required for all coaching in the Mite and Squirt age groups.
-Level 3 certification is required for all coaching in the Pee Wee and Bantam age groups.
-Level 4 & 5 certification is not available locally, but check out the USA Hockey website for information on dates and locations.
  
-A coach may only take 2 coaching clinics in 1 season. If you are a new coach and will be coaching Squirts, you will need to take both Level 1 and  Level 2.
 
-If you are a new coach and will be coaching at Pee or Bantam, don't worry. An exception is made here. New coaches for the Pee Wee and Bantam levels are only required to take Level 1 and 2. If asked, you need only to show your USA Hockey coaching card to show that you met the coaching requirements for the 09/10 season.

-Coaches that have their Level 3 certification and do not wish or are not able to go to a Level 4 clinic can take a recertification of Level 3 on-line through the USA Hockey website.

online at the USA Hockey website,
www.usahockey.com.

WHERE: The Forum at Fishers Ice Arena, 9022 E. 126th St.      Behind the Fishers YMCA
 
Bring & Wear: Snow boots or sneakers and wear light weight sweatpants and long sleeve shirt.  Each child will be fitted with full equipment but will not be skating.  They will be learning the basics of hockey on the ice in snow boots.
