The Harvest Feast, October 15 at The Patio Cafe

What's up with the building?
|
Recently, we learned that an anonymous buyer has placed a bid on the Castro Country Club building. The bid has been accepted and the building is currently under contract with the buyer. Any number of known and unknown factors could still scuttle the deal, but it is possible that we could soon have a new landlord.
Although we have been told that the prospective landlord plans to keep the Castro Country Club on as a tenant, as of this writing we have received no confirmation of his or her intentions. Many questions remain to be answered and we expect to have some news very soon.
In the meantime, we will continue to push forward with our campaign to Keep the Steps in the Castro. Under the supervision of the Castro Country Club Advisory Board, our building fund is being held in a secured account and will be used solely to secure a long-term facility in the Castro neighborhood that is suitable to the needs of our community.
The money we raise at our largest annual fundraiser, The Harvest Feast, which will also kick off our annual membership drive, will help to ensure that the Castro Country Club will have a home for LGBT people in recovery for generations to come. With your help, we are doing the footwork, and together we will keep faith.
