July is 1/4 over already and you may be wondering why the newsletters have been absent from your inbox. A couple of things have been effecting the production of the newsletter, first thanks to you, our most excellent customers and the great riding weather this past couple of months we have been keeping very busy. If you have visited the store you may run into our frequent summer helper and good guy Owen Lloyd, with us once again. We have also added another BMW Certified Technician Noah Zeller to our already excellent service department
team, to make sure we have plenty of space to accommodate the increasing traffic. Also make sure to check out the new look on our website!
The BMWVC family has experienced an unusual amount of personal loss this year, by that I mean the loss of loved ones to illness. While we each grieve in our own way I personally am finding myself focusing on the good times and the positive influence those that passed had on our daily lives and the adventures we shared together. Remembering the passion with which our loved ones went after new experiences and adventures has me personally looking for ways to live my life instead of just being along for the ride.
With that in mind take a look at all the riding events and opportunities that are coming up in the next few months alone! Rawhyde's Adventure Challenge, BMW MOA Rally, monthly Gear-UP Getaway's, Dual Sport rides with Howard, and Street rides with Don!
Also, GS riders don't forget to check out the GS Riders of Ventura BMW Facebook page for other riders organizing dual sport rides or looking for an adventure partner.
Summer is upon us, and it is good! We are having amazing riding weather here in California as usual, and I for one plan to get out and enjoy it!

Compass Expeditions

In 2010 a small group of bikers, all on bikes from the BMW GS range, departed London for an extraordinary 102 day ride across 1/4 of the earth Magadan at the terminus of the legendary Road of Bones. Compass Expeditions became the first motorcycle company to ever complete this ride. Join Mick and Veronica as they highlight the incredible BMWs on this epic ride into one of the wildest, remote and unknown regions left on earth at BMW Motorcycles of Ventura County.

July Street Ride |  | |
Join Don on Saturday the 16th for his monthly street ride. This month we'll be leaving the shop at 8:30am for the Santa Paula Airport to have breakfast then we will explore the grand vistas of Gibraltar Road!
Meet at the shop at 8 am for Coffee, Cocoa and Donuts!! Then kickstands up around 8:30 am.

Big Sur
Gear-Up Getaway |  | |
The July Gear-up Getaway will be July 16. Cameron has a longer trip planned up to Big Sur. This ride is mostly street but the last 5 miles to the camp site is dirt and will require a dual sport type bike!

August Dual Sport Ride |  | |
Join Howard Rantz on his BMWVC Dual Sport Ride Saturday, August 13th.
Meet at the shop for Donuts and Coffee at 8 am and rider meeting. Kickstands up at 9 am. Look for ride updates like weather conditions on our Facebook page or call the day before the ride. Riders registered for the ride will receive updates via email.
