| Tech Session - February 25th |
Join us on Thursday, February 25th at 5:00 PM for a Tech Session conducted by our Senior Master Mechanic, Howard Rantz. This will be a unique session focusing on the new S1000RR and what is beneath all the exterior components. Extended warranties offer a great way to achieve peace of mind and increase the value of your motorcycle because you can transfer the coverage to a new buyer. Extend your coverage for 1 to 3 years at any time prior to the expiration of your factory coverage, just so long as you have at least one month remaining.  The Year of the Tiger
February 14th not just Valentine's Day this year (don't forget), but also Chinese New Year, the year of the Tiger. It is appropriate that this is the year of the Tiger, especially as BMW rolls out not only new models but new innovations to the current model line up. For BMW, it is not just the Year of the Tiger, but a year of change as well.
BMW is entering the sport bike market in a very big way in 2010. The S1000RR represents not just a new bike, but a new market for BMW and all the stops are coming out. BMW has expanded their investment in the World Superbike racing tour, and has become the bike used at the respected Keith Code California Superbike School . We have received our first S1000RR in our store so come in and take a look, you will be impressed.
In addition, BMW is bringing the G450X to California this year, entering another new market segment for BMW. We should start seeing these bikes in our showroom shortly, and there is some additional information on this model below. There are also model updates to the RT, GS and GS Adventure making these bikes almost completely new for 2010. You have to admit, it is shaping up to be a big year for BMW.
But first, we have to clear some room and move out the remaining 2009 models we have in stock. We have just a very few 2009 models remaining, including 1 LT, 1 GS, 2 RT's, a couple of 650's, and one R1200 R (our list is getting shorter). All have either excellent financing or excellent pricing to move the models out as the 2010's begin to be received at the dealership.
- Financing as low as 1.9% on any remaining 2009 BMW R1200 GS or GS Adventure or $2,000 customer cash!
- We have a screaming deal on a 2009 R1200 R, stop by and check it out.
- On all remaining 2009 RT's and 2009 K1200 LT's, financing as low as 3.9% or $1,000 in customer cash.
As always, financing is subject to buyer qualification and approval by BMW Financial Services.

Well football finally came to a close this past weekend with the New Orleans Saints overcoming the favorite Indianapolis Colts for a victory in the Super Bowl. I don't know about you, but I was down with a pretty bad cold, so I spent most of Sunday watching the tube. While sportscasters always try to give equal time to both sides, my impression was that the Saints had more "air time" on Sunday before the game than the Colts. I think the Saints while not the betting favorite became the fan favorite on Sunday. Congratulations to the Saints for their win.
Well the rains have ended, so get out and ride. This weekend should have some great weather, and we have a GS ride leaving on Saturday at 7:30 from the shop if you are so inclined.

BMW G450X - Coming to California!
This exciting bike fresh from the World Enduro Championships and the 2010 Dakar Rally is finally going to be available in California. The 2010 model being introduced first in California, will be a street legal bike in all 50 states. Besides offering a competitive product with Marzocchi front suspension, Ohlins rear suspension, Brembo brakes, an engine capable of 52 hp, this bike comes with the world class BMW 36 month warranty, an unheard of warranty in this class of motorcycles. Employee Profile - Jules Neale
GS Owner - S1000RR Convert
Meet Jules Neale, a GS owner and rider turned S1000RR Advocate, and one of our sales associates at BMW Ventura. This is a picture of Jules after he just completed about 45 minutes of track time on the S1000RR at Palm Beach International Raceway. This was quite a change for Jules in terms of his riding style, because Jules is a "GS kind of guy" for the most part. In fact, Jules still rides his first BMW motorcycle, a 1991 R100GS. But after his track time on the latest innovation from BMW, he just may change bikes.
Jules is a California native, growing up wandering the roads of the Santa Monica mountains before he began riding motorcycles at 19. Jules graduated from Malibu High in 2000 and went on to obtain a BS in Criminal Justice from CLU. Jules now lives in Thousand Oaks, and still enjoys riding those canyon roads of the Santa Monica Mountains.
Jules is not your typical "salesman", he enjoys helping customers learn and understand all there is to know about BMW Motorcycles. Sure, Jules wants to sell motorcycles, but he gets his satisfaction from helping customers understand the complexities and the benefits of each of the BMW models. If you want to know the intricate details of a motorcycle as well as the features of each model, Jules is your man.

This year the RawHyde's Adventure Rider Challenge is going to have a special component, the chance to represent BMW's "Team USA" at the 2010 GS Trophy Challenge to be held in South Africa later this year. This is an exciting event and a unique opportunity to not only have some fun, but to earn a spot to compete in a world wide challenge! The GS Trophy event is held every two years, and in 2008, the event took place in Tunisa, and in 2010, the team will travel to South Africa. Do you have what it takes to make the team? Now is your chance to find out. To be eligible to be part of the GS Trophy Challenge selection, you must enter the Adventure Rider Challenge in order to compete for the the GS Trophy.
