 Thanksgiving is past, and the Christmas season is now upon us. BMWNA is continuing and has expanded the programs to help close out 2009 models, and the 2010 models are coming into the dealership. It couldn't be a better time to pick up a new BMW Motorcycle.
Programs include below market financing to as low as 1.9% on some models. The deadline is a little earlier this month, all sales must be concluded by December 24th, so get your shopping done early! Some examples on current financing are:
- Financing as low as 1.9% on any remaining 2009 BMW R1200 GS or GS Adventure or $2,000 customer cash!
- Financing as low as 2.9% on 2009 F650 GS and 2009 F800 GS bikes or $750 customer cash.

Well, baseball season has finally ended, college football is winding down with final games this weekend and of course all of the bowl games coming in the weeks ahead. It is a little surprising to see so much news lately on the golf front, and enough said on that subject. I thoroughly enjoyed the "civil war" this past week, and I'm looking forward to Oregon's visit to the Rose Bowl, the first time since 1995, go Ducks! Speaking of football, the Pontiac Silverdome was where the Detroit Lions played for years. It was sold last week for $583,000. You'd think someone would have paid more if only to get their hands on the 127 acres. But the 80,000 seat stadium, built thirty years ago for $56 million, went for less than a one room condo in New York City.
I hope everyone enjoy's the holiday season, and takes some time to be with family and friends, between rides, of course.

Customer Profile - John Cutright
Raised in a motorcycling family
Meet John Cutright, BMW Rider and customer of BMW Motorcycles of Ventura County. John was riding very early as a passenger with his mother, at the early age of eight weeks as it turns out. But don't worry, she had plenty of experience. In fact, you may know John's mother, Mary Cutright, a member of the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame. Today, John is a Charter Life Member of the American Motorcycle Association.
John began his riding at the age of 14 when he first obtained his license. His first motorcycle, while not a BMW, was a German built JBK with a 100cc engine. His father did own a BMW however, and John made his first family cross country trip riding from Ohio to Seattle riding his father's R69S. John has been hooked on cross country riding ever since. His first BMW was a handsome K100 purchased in 1984. While John began his touring early, he was also an avid dirt racer which is why you can find him today, riding a F800 GS.
John's favorite trip was riding the Continental Divide participating in two of the last Great Divide Rides (GDR). But his most interesting "ride" was a return trip and tour of Viet Nam. John had served as a helicopter crew chief during the Viet Nam war, and in 2005 found himself atop a 125 cc Yamaha with a completely different perspective while riding the Ho Chi Minh Highway. One night over spring rolls and tea, John was swapping stories with the tour guide, Le Van Cuong, a former North Vietnamese solider when both realized they were very likely previous combatants. They also agreed they were not fighting out of hatred, and a friendship was formed.
John still travels to the orient and to Viet Nam importing various goods for sale in the US. When John is not playing Volleyball where he recently won a Silver Medal at the World Huntsman Games, you can find John riding his F800 GS or his R1200 RT. The international press launch of the S 1000 RR was held in Portimao, Portugal on the week of November 16th, and almost instantly the Internet began buzzing with praise for the "RR."
