As you all know, we have for many years been an AutoCom shop, focused on understanding the systems, connectors, and options.
What you may not know is that AutoCom US importer (TopGear Access) ceased business with AutoCom UK and ceased all support of the brand, including repairs, warranty etc.

This left us with an opportunity to move our attention to rival brand StarCom-1, also from the UK. We're dealing with them directly and have had a very positive response from them so far. We receive product within a few days of ordering, and by the next newsletter I will have a full review for you. I'm encouraged by their equipment quality, plug sizes (smaller), fewer connector lead choices (much simpler to understand), and bulkhead fittings.
Sandi & I are installing two full bike-bike systems on our bikes, interfaced to XM, radar, GPS, iPod, Bluetooth, etc., you know, the usual... We'll have something to report back on regarding the quality and usage in the next installment.
