Half way through the year already, hard to believe. I hope everyone had an enjoyable 4th of July. We started our third annual Great Divide Ride this past week, this time going from South to North completing the entire journey along the Continental Divide. You can follow us during our trip, just check out the links along the side bar for both Facebook updates, and hour by hour tracking location of our progress using SPOT GPS tracking technology.
BMW has officially re-entered Superbike racing here in the States introducing the BMW S1000RR Superbike at the Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah, during WSBK races. This bike looks like it will be a real winner, and we are beginning to take reservations for the S1000RR being introduced late this year. Initial deliveries of this bike will go to those qualified customers with a deposit, so see our Sales Team for further information.
 We had a very nice turnout for Annette Birkman this past month for her presentation and her career change from attorney to motorcycle mechanic and world traveler. If you missed Annette's presentation, you can learn more about her on her blog at flow-point.net .
As I mentioned in the beginning, our 17-day 5000-mile Great Divide Ride is under way. While you may think I'm sending this from the road, Gary is actually the author this month. WOW - A new July BMW Sales Support is now available, but it all ends on July 31st. Unique to the program is that both the R1200GS and R1200 GS Adventure have special financing with rates as low as 3.9% or $500-$1500 in BMW Accessories on select models. Interest rates are subject to borrower qualification with BMW Financial Services. If you're on the fence about purchasing then perhaps this program will sweeten the pot for you - just do so before July 31st.
We've modified the Dual-Sport Adventure Ride Series slightly so that it will suit both new and experienced GS riders alike - starting with the July-11 ride the series will become a MINI-SERIES of 3-4 rides of increasing challenge, repeating itself every few months so that newer riders can conveniently jump on and grow with the series. The next DS-Ride is SATURDAY JULY 11th click HERE for details. Craig, leader of our Monthly Street Ride, would like to know what interest there is, if any, in holding an overnight ride with 8-10 riders to somewhere in the mountains? The BMW S1000RR USA Reveal...
Ruben Xaus gave Team BMW Motorrad Motorsport their best result so far with a superb seventh in the first race at Monza. He then followed it up with a solid ninth in the second race to make it his best weekend in five rounds and shows that he and the bike are making progress every time out.
