Base Camp Alpha!
This week I received inside information about an exciting new motorcycle adventure and destination for you and your GS.
Twice a month, beginning January '09, the BMW Off-road Academy (RawHyde) will be conducting and guiding a 2-day ride out to Base Camp Alpha, located deep in the desert on the border with Death Valley.
For many reasons, few of us get a chance to ride through the "real desert" of historic ghost towns and abandoned gold mines, and $595 will include all GPS tracks, meals & beverages, and participation in a guided experience you won't forget for a while!
Call Pete at (805)499-3770 for more "inside info".

New Faces: Cameron, Vanessa, & Johanna

Some of you may already have met Cameron and Vanessa, energetically staffing up our Parts Counter, and taking good care of your Apparel needs.
Vanessa's retail background positions her perfectly to learn from Cameron's wealth of knowledge in the apparel industry.
A warm welcome to Johanna who has only been with us for a couple of weeks,
taking on a new role of Web Coordination, Marketing & Advertising.
She will be responsible for the wise allocation of our small marketing
budget, and for improving our contact with you, our customer!

Greetings!
A short newsletter to keep you up to speed with what's happening here in Newbury Park. Hopefully you didn't overindulge during Thanksgiving, and that you have some energy left-over for the fast-approaching Christmas Season! We've got a couple of rides to tell you about, a possibility for YOU to be in a Motorrad Photo-shoot, and a new development from the BMW Offroad Academy.

IMS Show - Long Beach - Dec 5,6,7
Come down to the show and check out some of the new models. The K1300GT and K1300S will be on display with dealer reps to chat with on what's in store for the 2009 season. Also, be sure to give your opinion on what you think of the BMW Custom Concept bike - we seldom get a chance to have our voice heard at the design stage!

BMW Photo Shoot - Men & Women - Dec 9,10,11
If you act quickly, you may be selected for a photo shoot that BMW Motorrad is conducting right after the IMS show. Featuring their new bike models, they are looking for REAL riders from our area to take part, both men & women, and be the subjects of the 2009 catalogs & brochures. Please click here to get an idea of their requirements and photo shoot agenda. It would be awesome to have your face featured in our marketing material for next year!
