EXPOCYCLE 2012 NEWSLETTER - AUGUST EDITION

Show Dates:
Public Day: September 8th.
Industry Days: September 9th & 10th.

Venue: Direct Energy Centre, Toronto, ON.

ExpoCycle has continually revamped its show – from its public day, educational seminars, venue and location to demo product testing – to be more inline with the industry’s shifting needs over the years.

ExpoCycle 2012 continues that change. In this newsletter, our last edition before ExpoCycle kicks off next week, we provide a detailed summary and overview of what’s new, and what to expect on this year’s show floor.

Public Day: How to Take Advantage of this Unique Opportunity

The new Public Day (Saturday, September 8th, 2012) will also open up new opportunities for Canadian bike trade retailers, suppliers and reps to get in front of bicycle enthusiasts and consumers, as well as take care of business.

Whether you want a real work day or a real relax day, attending the Public Day will start you off on the right foot before your busy schedules kick in on opening Industry Days. Here’s how to get the most out of this unique opportunity to take better advantage of the Public Day:

Retailers:

  • Pick up your badges to avoid lines during first Trade show day
  • Attend Educational Seminars before the Trade show starts
  • Preview the show in advance
  • Talk to new exhibitors
  • Prepare questions for suppliers
  • Take in a meeting to lighten your schedule
  • Bring VIP customers from your shop
  • Leisurely walk the show to plan for your Industry Days
  • Ask consumers attending Public Day for product feedback

Suppliers Reps:

  • Interact and influence consumers while in your booths
  • Work with their dealers to facilitate orders

Education: More Convenient Times Now Available, Including Public Day

From breakfast and lunch sessions to Public Day scheduling, the Educational Seminar line up is built for retailer convenience. Historically, some attendees lacked the availability to attend educational seminars as it took time from product previews and meetings on the show floor. Not this year. Here’s what’s new with the Educational Seminars:

  • Public Day Scheduling: take in educational seminars before Industry Days start
  • Breakfast and Lunch Seminars during Industry days: allows more time for appointments
  • More convenient times

The educational seminar line up is one of the strongest ever for the show. The CEO of Golf Town, for example, will speak during the Sunday breakfast session. He will focus on creating an experience for your consumers, including discussion on merchandising and store layout. Chris Kegel, the number one dealer for Trek Bicycles in the US, is also part of this year’s lineup. He will outline his best practices in how he became THE most successful retailer for Trek bicycles.
