People Can Change Marks 10th Anniversary
With Major Web Site Redesign, Logo Redesign,
New JiM Video, and Major New Webinar & Workbook
www.peoplecanchange.com first went "live" 10 years ago this month with a dozen first-person accounts of men who had resolved their unwanted homosexual attractions. And coinciding with that milestone anniversary, People Can Change is releasing a completely redesigned, upgraded Web site, a fresh new logo, and a beautiful, professionally produced new online video profiling PCC's signature program, Journey Into Manhood.

Newly Redesigned, Upgraded Web Site Goes Live
People Can Change's completely redesigned Web site, www.peoplecanchange.com, goes "live" today, 10 years to the month after the original PCC web site went online, giving birth to what would become a powerful new non-profit organization supporting men who are on a journey out of unwanted homosexuality.
Revisions to the Web site include:
- a significantly upgraded and modernized design and simpler, more intuitive navigation
- A significantly expanded listing for "Finding a Counselor or Life Coach." It now features 16 licensed counselors or therapists and 7 life coaches (including, for the first time, 5 female counselors or coaches) who are experienced with the goals and issues faced by SSA men (and oftentimes with those of the wives of married SSA men), and who are knowledgeable about and supportive of the work of People Can Change.
- a major new Journey Into Manhood page or series of pages, at www.peoplecanchange.com/jim, which now functions as a Web site within a Web site.
- a beautiful new, professionally produced online video profiling Journey Into Manhood and its impact on men's lives
- 15 new, first-person testimonials on the powerful impact of Journey Into Manhood, by past participants from across the U.S. and from England, Israel and Hungary.
- 4 powerful new endorsements of Journey Into Manhood by prominent leaders in the field: Dr. Joseph Nicolosi (a leading therapist, author and co-founder of NARTH); Father John Harvey (founder of the Catholic organization, Courage); Arthur Goldberg (founder of the Jewish organization, JONAH); and UK psychiatrist Dr. Paul Miller.
- A new "About Us" section featuring PCC's Mission and Vision, our Philosophy & Values, and a new "News & Media" section
Much of the familiar, highly valued content has not changed, however, such as informative, content-rich sections on:
"It's heartwarming to see what People Can Change has become -- and what the Web site has now become -- 10 years after I uploaded that first home-made Web site of first-person testimonials and lessons learned from our shared experience," said Rich Wyler, founder and director of People Can Change.
"Our success as an organization and as a community is a testimony to the commitment and passion of countless volunteers and donors who share the vision of this work. It's a testimony to the great need crying out in the world for meaningful help and clear direction that counters the misinformation and hopelessness in the cultural mainstream on this issue. And more than anything, it's a testimony to a Higher Power at work in our lives to accomplish something much greater than we could possibly accomplish on our own."
The Web site overhaul and redesign is the work of Tanya at Kawa Design Studios, who willingly gave far more hours in donated service than PCC could possible afford to fairly compensate her for.
PCC also expresses tremendous gratitude to Gabe at Furryllama Media Productions, who graciously hosted and marketed the previous PCC Web site at his own expense through his own company for the past five years. |

| Wives' Coaching & Peer Support Tele-Group Moves to Sunday Evenings
Sunday Evenings 7:30pm - 8:50pm US Eastern Time
"Especially for Wives" is a peer support and professional coaching group for women who are married to men dealing with homosexual struggles. The focus is on support, understanding, self-care and personal growth for the wife, not on "fixing" the husband.
This group is co-led by professional life coaches Rich Wyler, founder of People Can Change, and Mary Jane Morgan, both of whose marriages survived the husband's struggle with -- and ultimately journey out -- of SSA. (Together, they also co-created A Wife's Healing Journey).
Cost: US$85 per month (4 weekly 80-minute sessions) Renewable monthly.
October sessions begin Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010

PCC Produces First-Ever Video Profiling Journey Into Manhood
Prominently featured in PCC's newly redesigned Web site is a professionally produced, just-released video profiling PCC's powerful Journey Into Manhood weekend program for men who are serious about resolving unwanted same-sex attractions.
The new video was professionally shot, edited and produced by Kevin Lacy of kevinmark Films. At the invitation of the board of directors of People Can Change -- and with the consent and support of the volunteer staff of "JiM 48" -- Kevin attended and filmed portions of the staff-preparation day in Southern California this July.
The faces and identities of most of the volunteer staffers were concealed, but 4 chose to give on-camera interviews: "Amador," "Jeff," and Journey Into Manhood co-creators Rich Wyler (who is also PCC's founder) and David Matheson.
"The JiM 48 staff and the PCC board all had the opportunity to preview Kevin's work before it was finalized and publicly released, and every one of them was thrilled with the professional quality of the production and the clarity and compassion of the message that came through so beautifully," Rich said.
"I firmly believe that this video will not only give men hope and courage to continue on a journey of growth and change, but will also allow us to more clearly communicate who we are and what we stand for as a community," Rich said. "This is especially vital at a time when our ever-increasing visibility as an organization brings with it increased scrutiny and, from some quarters, increased criticism." |
Your Donation Will Help PCC Receive $12,000 Gift-Match
Will you help People Can Change receive a $12,000 matching grant?
If People Can Change can raise $12,000 between today, September 27, and December 15, 2010, a generous donor has pledged to give us another $12,000 to match!
There are 2 ways you can help:
1) Make a donation, in any amount, between now and December 15, or
2) Better yet, sign up before December 15 to make automatic recurring monthly donations with the intention to continue them for at least 12 months, and we'll be able to count a full TWELVE MONTHS of your pledge toward our $12,000 goal!
This summer, the board of People Can Change set a goal to enlist 200 donors to give an average of $25 a month in automatic recurring monthly donations. We're currently at about 28% of that goal, with 35 donors giving, on average, $40 a month.
Donations help pay for:
-- OUTREACH - such as the newly redesigned Web site; the new JiM video; brochures and other marketing materials; promotional mailings to counselors, ministries and others, and public relations - all of which cost money.
-- OVERHEAD to run the day-to-day operations of PCC. We are extremely frugal, but still incur regular expenses like phone, computer and online services, shipping, storage space, bookkeeping and administrative services, and more.
Note: Because PCC is recognized by the US government as a 501c3 non-profit organization, your donation to PCC may be deductible on your US income taxes. |
