The Himalayan post monsoon trekking season has already started in Nepal with our first group successfully reaching Everest Base Camp on September 23rd.

If anyone is interested there is late availability on some of our treks in Nepal during October and November this year, surprisingly you can still get great deals on flights to Nepal (Kathmandu-London return from £535 with Jet Airways). There are places on
Manaslu Circuit and
Everest Base Camp in October and
Mera Peak in November.
Over Summer 2010 we are confident that our treks in Pakistan will run with Roland leading
Snow Lake & Hispar La in July and
K2 & Gondogoro La in August. In July Alan Ward will be returning to lead a group to climb
Stok Kangri in Ladakh northern India.
In Autumn 2010 Gary Pfisterer is looking forward to leading the epic
Snowman trek in Bhutan, as some of you might remember The Mountain Company organised a successful Snowman trek in 2008. Roland will lead the challenging
Dhaulagiri Circuit trek in October followed by
Mera Peak in November 2010.
Please scroll down this e-Newsletter for more information on these treks.
At The Mountain Company we are delighted to be listed in the latest edition of Lonely Planet's Trekking in the Nepal Himalaya under UK Trekking Companies. We are also listed in the excellent Trail Blazer guidebooks to the Everest and Annapurna regions.
Over the summer we have been busy working on a brand new website for The Mountain Company. Hopefully you will find this site easier to navigate and for searching our program of treks as well as providing more information on our trips and destination countries.
The new website will be launched in mid October so make sure you check in then! We would be very interested to hear what you think and any feedback that you might have on the website.
