Tuttle park staff held a thank you to the community party Sat 6-9. We all said good by to the place that gave so much to us all. I grew up playing sports and making crafts in that center. A few days ago, SweetRemedy.tv linked to an article detailing the FDA seizure of $71,000.00 in supplements from FulLife Natural Options Inc.. The FDA's justification for this muscle-flexing was that, "The agency takes seriously its responsibility to protect Americans from unapproved drugs." On the very same day, another article appeared recommending that women make their own informed decisions about whether or not to
have a mammography. The main reason cited for this idea was that there
are many "false positives" and over-diagnoses resulting in unnecessary
tests, treatments and anxiety, when mammograms, by the article's own
admission, only save (for every 1000 women screened) about one life in
younger women and 3 in older women

 Recipes from the Garcia's kitchen...

years in Columbus, Ohio. The family tradition continues. On March 12, 2009 Rosa Bell
and Iggy Garcia will be taking over the day to day operations. They will be
bring back traditional dishes and new ones. The main feature will be
Peruvian and Latin Cuisine. With the likes of, ceviche, lomo saltado, chili rellenos and much more. Iggy and Rosa will feature a different recipe bi-weekly in the WithInsights.com Newsletter.
Today's Recipe is Ceviche
Times:
Prep15 min Inactive Prep10 min Cook10 min Total:35 min
Ingredients 1 1/4 pounds fish fillets (sea bass, sole, or flounder), cut on the bias into 1-inch dice
1 quart water, boiled and chilled
1 red onion, cut in 1/2 lengthwise and sliced thin
1 aji amarillo, rib and seeds removed, diced
1 clove garlic
Salt and pepper
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
2 teaspoons finely chopped cilantro leaves
2 ears corn, cut in 1/2
1 sweet potato, sliced 1/4-inch thick
2 tablespoons canola oil
1 head lettuce
Directions Have grill pre-greased and preheated to medium-high. Place fish in a non-reactive bowl. Add 3 cups of chilled water to fish and rinse gently. Drain water. Add onions to remaining chilled water and let soak. Meanwhile, place aji, garlic, and pinch of salt in a mortar and pestle. Grind to make a paste. Combine fish, lime and lemon juices, aji and garlic paste, salt, pepper, and cilantro. Let marinate for 10 minutes. Brush corn and sweet potato slices with oil and place on grill. Cook about 10 minutes. When ready to serve, divide fish ceviche among 4 lettuce cups and top with onion slices. Serve with grilled corn and sweet potato slices. |

Experiment with them and explore. For me personally, I enjoy the Fire and Water meditations. For a close friend of mine, she liked the Laughter one the best. Each one was used by Asheoma when he was with me. BTW - These are Star Kid friendly!! Remember that most of these meditations were ways Byrd taught me when I was a child. (For the fire meditation, Star Seed Adults need to stay with the Star Kid ) But these are enjoyable and can help in opening your energy to new understandings or remembering what has been forgotten.
