New, Juried Competition for Visual Artists in Sedona

 

Sedona Area Guild of Artists announces their First Open Exhibition for the Visual Arts in Sedona on March 29-30. This competition is open to all visual artists working in Ceramics, Glass, Drawing, Painting, Photography, Sculpture, Wood, and Textiles/Fiber in the Sedona Area. Artists' entry deadline is February 20.The juror will be Jerry Smith, Phoenix Art Museum Curator for American and Western American art. Gary Pearce Runs Two Marathons in Three Weeks to Support Seriously Ill Children

 

Local resident and golf pro, Gary Pearce is running two marathons within three weeks to help raise money to send seriously ill children to Camp Soaring Eagle. Gary is a regular volunteer at Camp Soaring Eagle's camping programs in Sedona and Camp Verde and is asking for your support in his fundraising efforts. There will be two screenings of the film at 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm on Wednesday, February 1 at Harkins Theatres. Superchicks Winter Blast Tour 2012  

 

Extreme Faith Productions and The Hike House are proud and blessed to announce the Superchicks Winter Blast Tour 2012 coming to Sedona Friday February 3rd. Included on the ticket are KJ-52, Bread of Stone and Samestate. They will be performing at the Sedona Red Rock High School's Performing Art Center. The Sedona Heritage Museum presents Michael Peach in his next performance of his new original show "Arizona History & Hi-Jinx" at 1:30 pm on Saturday, February 4. "In the wild, wild West it was considered best to provide for one's own defense.  Even-ing a score was a necessary chore whenever things got too intense. Disputes were often settled with blood and metal, when all was said and done."  So says award-winning actor, playwright and historian Michael Peach in his new show, "Arizona History and Hi-Jinxs" which will be performed every first Saturday at the Sedona Heritage Museum
