Prizes for the 7th Annual Sedona Marathon 

   

The Sedona Marathon needs prizes for the winners of the 2012 races. This is a great for opportunity for local businesses to get their products in front of thousands of customers and potential customers.   Prizes must be donated in groups of two (since there are two winners for the Full, Half, 10K and 5K races - Men and Women). Any business who donates prizes will receive the opportunity to insert an item the each participant's race bag (value $200). 2,000 runners receives this goody bag at packet pick-up. Artwork Competition

 

The City of Sedona, the Arts and Culture Commission, and the Art in Public Places Committee announces a major exterior public art competition for professional artists residing in Yavapai and Coconino. One artist or team will be selected for the opportunity to receive a commission to create artwork for the roundabout located at the intersection of SR 179 and Schnebly Hill. Applications must be received at the City of Sedona Arts and Culture Division by Friday, February 3, at 5:00 pm, located at 102 Roadrunner Drive. Verde Valley Sanctuary Fundraiser  

 

The Verde Valley Sanctuary, a multi-service agency that responds to the problem of domestic abuse in the Sedona Verde Valley community, hosts its annual fundraising event on Saturday, May 5 at 5:00 pm at the Lacy Goldenstein Ranch in Cornville. "Dancing in the Moonlight" will feature music from La Cubanita's Orchestra, drinks, dinner, a silent auction and dancing, all underneath a full moon! Ladies you don't want to miss this! Famous New York Burlesque Artist and Instructor Mme. Rosebud will be  teaching her classic burlesque class in Sedona Wednesday, January 18 and Wednesday, January 25 at the Sedona Ballroom located in the Sedona Racquet Club & Spa. Rosebud has performed at The Plaza in NYC, as well as other well known theaters in New York, Washington DC, Canada and England. The Verde Valley Republican Women's meeting on Wednesday, January 18, at 11:30 am will feature the Arizona Federation of Republican Women President, Mary Williams. In an effort to support those affected by cancer, the Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona Healthcare and Verde Valley Medical Center are hosting a Lunch & Learn on Saturday, January 21 from 12:00 - 2:00 pm. The intent is to offer hope and encouragement to cancer patients, survivors, friends and family of those affected by cancer through education and inspiring presentations.
