Annual Membership Meeting to Feature New Sedona Brand
and Economic Outlook
Mark your calendar for January 20, 2012. Sedona Chamber of Commerce will hold its Annual Membership Meeting on Friday, January 20, 2012 from 8:30 - 10:30 am at Los Abrigados Resort & Spa. The meeting will include a continental style breakfast, presentations on the Sedona Chamber of Commerce accomplishments for 2011 and goals for 2012. Followed by reports from our Affinity groups, the Chamber's new Sedona Brand Campaign will be unveiled. Adding to the meeting will beMr. Jim Rounds of Elliot Pollack & Company as keynote speaker who will provide an economic outlook for 2012. Time to network before, during and after. SCORE Counseling

Free, confidential business counseling from SCORE is available to any small business entrepreneur, whether just starting up a business or working to improve an existing small business. SCORE is offered at the Chamber of Commerce office on 45 Sunset Drive on Wednesday, January 25. You can schedule a one-hour session on any topic about your business. With more than 1,000 unique visits to the ShopInSedona.comsite each month, more attention is being paid by local shoppers to view current offers. Members can post up to five offers at one time to local shoppers for FREE!
If you haven't posted an offer yet, its easy to do and brings your business attention. And posting an offer is FREE!. If you have already posted an offer, but it expired on December 31, 2011, you should update it to ensure it remains on the site.

Only Two 2012 Mixer Hosting Dates Still Available
Throughout the year, Sedona Chamber of Commerce works with local businesses to present a Monthly Networking Mixer on the fourth Thursday of the month. There has been a real demand to host 2012 Mixers and now, there are only two dates still available - February 23 and the Holiday Mixer on December 6.
Hosting is a great opportunity to showcase your business, services and staff when Chamber members visit your location and network to grow your business and theirs. Loft 54 Interiors owners Roxanne and Tricia Roud recently hosted a Mixer and offered their thoughts about how valuable being a host was for their business:
"We just wanted to take a moment to thank you and your staff for a wonderful evening. We feel as though the event went without a flaw, and our business got just the exposure it needed. We had great response and feedback from the members, and they were all so kind and respectful to our store. We would definitely host another mixer, no questions asked!"

Submit Brochures by Friday, February 10
Make sure your business is top-of-mind with Valley residents at the Arizona Highways/AAA Travel Show. The show is scheduled for February 18 and 19, 2012. This year's show will be bigger and better, as two individual travel shows - Arizona Highways Travel Show, and the AAA Travel Show - have now partnered to create the biggest and best travel show of 2012.
Submit up to 100 brochures to the Sedona Chamber of Commerce who will be at the show representing Sedona. The cost is $50 for Tourism Bureau Members. Please bring brochures with payment to the Sedona Chamber Administrative Office at 45 Sunset Drive, attention Michelle Conway. KUGO Travel Radio - Grand Canyon Marketing Opportunity
The Sedona Chamber of Commerce has partnered with KUGO radio, the only FM radio station that broadcasts at the Grand Canyon and surrounding areas. This radio station delivers travel information only (no music format) and is a great way to remind Grand Canyon visitors that Sedona has so much to offer!
We have developed a co-op advertising package open to two more Tourism Bureau members, where each member gets one minute of a five minute long Sedona segment. This radio campaign will last for six months at a time. The cost to participate is only $150 per month. You can participate for six months, or secure your spot and participate for the full 12 months. VisitSedona.com Upgrades Online Booking Engine
Are you interested in selling your rooms directly from the VisitSedona.com website? It is very easy and requires little management - even if you do not participate in any other online or GDS based programs. This new booking engine can be utilized by all Sedona area hotels, motels, resorts, inns and B&Bs who are Tourism Bureau Members! Here are some commonly asked questions:
Can I access the system through the Internet?
Yes, the system is a user friendly, web-based program that is easy to manage and is a powerful merchandising tool.
Will we need to purchase special software?
No, your current Internet browser will allow you access to the system.
Is there a minimum commitment time period?
No, there is no minimum commitment. The Flexible Net Rate Agreement terms are for one (1) year with a thirty-day notification of termination.
