Let's Get Fit!
Come celebrate the 1 year anniversary of the Let's Get Fit Walk on Tuesday, January 10 at 4:00 pm. Then at 4:30 pm the scheduled walk begins. The walkers are successful and because you have made an effort to become fit, you have been rewarded by local merchants with a drawing and prizes each week. 'Take Shelter'
Plagued by a series of apocalyptic visions, a young husband and father question whether to shelter his family from a coming storm, or from himself in the new, award-winning drama. "Take Shelter" premieres on Tuesday, January 10 at 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm at Harkins Theatres. Living History Talk at Sedona Heritage Museum
The Sedona Heritage Museum hosts Living History on Wednesday, January 11 at 9:00 am at the Museum. Karin Kwaitkowski will present "The Stopwatch Gang-the Most Infamous Bank Robbers You've Never Heard of". Karin will tell this true story of three Canadians, based in Oak Creek Canyon and reputed to be the most successful bank robbers in North American history. Some called them the Gentlemen Bandits, but the FBI called them the Stopwatch Gang because their robberies took no longer than 120 seconds. After the program, Kwaitkowski will answer questions. Jim Curry and a tribute to John Denver
The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to partner with the Sedona 30 and the National Performing Artists for a series of live concert and performance events at the new Sedona Performing Arts Center. The first show will feature Jim Curry and band with a tribute to John Denver. Comedian Jimmy Travis will open the show. Showtime is Thursday, January 12 at 7:00 pm. "Music at the Museum" Concert The Sedona Heritage Museum presents "Music at the Museum", 1:30 pm on Saturday, January 14, with the Plein Aire string quartet. Plein Aire Quartet is a string quartet with a mission to perform for fun and fulfillment. All the members are professional musicians performing with Verde Valley Sinfonietta and the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra. This concert will focus pieces by Haydn and Schubert.
