Oak Creek Fall Colors

Join us in Sedona this Fall...

...and take advantage of sunny, cheerful days by hiking, biking, or touring more than 100 area trails. Satisfy your childhood wonder of the season by jumping aboard the Grand Canyon Railway's Pumpkin Patch Train or catch Fall canyon colors on the Verde Canyon Railroad. Relish our crisp, cool evenings by dining at any one of our fine restaurants, and don't forget to inquire about our local wines!

Fall has arrived and though the temperatures may be fooling us, the art, wine and festivals are upon us. Sedona and the Verde Valley are enjoying the new attention for winemaking and the spotlight has long been on us for the arts.

The art of winemaking in Central Arizona goes back to the early 1890's when wines were made for miners in Jerome, but the wines stopped flowing when the mines were closed. Only in the last few years has the Verde Valley been rediscovered by vintners, who have come to appreciate its climate and soil for exceptional winemaking. Wine makers have planted roots just outside Sedona, and their wineries are producing both white and red varietals and multi-grape bottlings. Several have been applauded by wine critics. The public can give the wines a try in the vineyards' tasting rooms, during occasional winemaker dinners and by picking up a bottle in fine food and liquor stores. Plus, many Sedona restaurants serve local, national and international wines. Sedona is truly a spot to visit for wine and all of the enjoyment that comes along with it.

We hope that you'll have a chance to visit Sedona during our gorgeous Fall season. To assist with your trip planning, feel free to check out VisitSedona.mobi on your mobile phone for on-the-go information. We'll see you soon!

...the fact that every time we come to Sedona it's an entirely new experience!  We either discover a different trail or adventure, or find a new place to explore, dine, or shop that we hadn't during an earlier trip.  We always meet new people, and even the landscape looks like it changes from one year to the next.  Our favorite place to visit...beautiful! P.S. We are excited to be returning this winter to experience the charismatic culture that is Sedona, and know we will not be disappointed!
