PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
 | VTT faculty from left to right who have either retired or are taking a one year leave of absence: Nancy Zipursky, Sari Weintraub, Rhona Schneiderman, Eric Lee & Florence Lapidus. Not pictured: Elana Jacobson, Sharon Quirke & Pat White |
Dear VTT Community,
It takes an entire summer break to get our school in tip top shape for the start of school in September. Operations Manager Sydney Antao and his dedicated team of custodians have literally taken apart classrooms to clean every nook and cranny and then painstakingly put them back together. Our administrators and office staff have spent the last two months getting all the systems in place to smoothly transition to a new academic year. And so many of our teachers have been coming throughout the summer to set up their classrooms and to prepare their curricula for 2011-12. VTT is anything but quiet in the summer!
We are blessed to have so many new enrollments this year, and I would like to warmly welcome all our new families. If you see an unfamiliar face in the halls of VTT, feel free to say hi and to help them become part of the Talmud Torah family. If you're planning on joining us at the Back to School Coffee after drop off on the first day of school, take the time to reach out to the newest members of our community.
I would also like to welcome all the new faculty joining our team:
Robert Broughton (Grade 3 General Studies), Becky Chan (Grade 5 General Studies), Jennifer Chobotiuk (Music Specialist), Meghan Davey (Grade 7 Humanities), Marni Fadida (return from leave; Kindergarten), Eden Gutterman (Kindergarten Aide), Andi Isserow (return from leave; Preschool Aide), Sigal Mathews (Preschool Aide), Sylvester Noel (Phys Ed Specialist), Raylee Perkins (Grade 4 General Studies), Melanie Sanderson (Preschool 4), Keri Smith (return from leave; Drama Specialist), Jennifer Trachtenberg (Grade 5 General Studies), and Thomas Watchorn (Grade 7 Aide).
I am surrounded by dedicated, passionate and enthusiastic educators excited to inspire students to explore, discover, learn and create. An exciting academic year lies ahead and I look forward to working in partnership with our parents to maximize the potential of each and every student.
