WATCH 2009by heidi st. john
Welcome Home! Oh, how we are looking forward to hearing those two little words! We are officially in Washington and the WATCH Conference is the last stop on our cross-country trek.
Something we love about WATCH is that they have a heart for encouraging homeschoolers.
You are going to be blessed in your homeschool efforts by attending. The goal is that you will leave feeling like you've been refreshed,
encouraged and equipped.
Ken Ham is an
obvious draw but you are also going to hear from our friends Todd
Wilson, Terry Small, Diana Waring and even little ol' me. I will
be teaching a workshop called "Real Life Homeschooling" which is one of
the workshops I wrote for the FCHM road trip. I am also teaching
Notebooking and Multi-Level Teaching. (Because I happen to have a
houseful of multiple levels O.o) How is Jay involved? He will be using his musical gifting by leading worship. Do you have teens? Bill Jack has an AWESOME teen program! You will be blessed and the cost
of the conference is one of the lowest we have seen.
WATCH will be one of the highlights of our summer, and we hope to see a bunch of you tomorrow & Saturday!
Blessings,

Blog Entry - August 5, 2009 Blog entry by Savannah St. John It
has been so incredible to see God's hands at work over the summer.
Obviously, I have been around ever since the very beginning of First
Class, and I have seen God work in amazing ways. However, it wasn't
until this trip when I came to the full understanding of the ministry
behind First Class and the impact God is making through it. I've seen
so many lives touched, so many discouraged families find hope, and so
many hearts knit together. God is definitely doing something big!The
thing is, God isn't only working through my parents to reach out to
them, but He's using them to reach out to us! I think God has done as
much in my life as he has in the many other lives during this trip. If
not more. He has used various parents to help mentor and speak to me,
reiterating things that He had laid on my heart just moments before.God
has proven himself to be very faithful, even in our hardest times. New
Orleans, for example. Being robbed was a terrible thing, it left us
feeling insecure and farther from home than ever, but God helped us
through it, even in the little things. Through that hardship, God shone
brighter than ever, He reached out and comforted us through all of you.
Thank you.
