Real Life Homeschooling
Steve & Janeby Steve Lambert

boost⋅er shot- noun. A dose of an immunizing substance given to maintain or renew the effect of a previous one.

Does your homeschool vision need a booster shot? Has the hard work of teaching and parenting, the financial pressure of a difficult economy and the criticism of friends and family members slowly clouded your vision for homeschooling?

Congratulations; you're normal. If homeschooling was easy and instantly gratifying- everyone would do it. But it's not. It's hard work and like anything worth doing, there are days when you wonder if it's worth it.

Heidi St. John is a master at administering booster shots to weary homeschool parents whose vision has become partly cloudy with a chance of apathy. She will renew faltering strength and refocus blurry vision, reminding us all why we do this challenging task of homeschooling.

With humor, wisdom and passion, Heidi will make you laugh and cry, but most of all she'll make you thank God for the privilege of teaching, nurturing and discipling your own children. If you need a booster shot before school starts again, this is your chance. Renew the effect of your original call to homeschooling by setting aside a few hours to get the booster shot every homeschool parent needs from time to time.

Real Life Homeschooling is a life preserver to anyone struggling to stay afloat in a sea of bad parenting gone mad with selfishness and apathy. Please don't miss it.

Blog Entry - July 10, 2009
The Family
fchm logoHello! This is Heidi ~ and I'd like to introduce you to a very special member of our extended family. It seems fitting that Caylin would write to you about all the "other" family members we have met as we have traveled this amazing country we live in. She knows all about being adopted into God's family! :D And just like being adopted by God amazes me, meeting His people around the USA is heart-warming and encouraging too.

Caylin is 18 years old, and is a recent homeschool graduate. She is the best friend of our daughter Savannah and has recently joined our trip, flying into Louisville, KY. She will be with us for the remainder of the trip. Thanks for keeping us all in your prayers!

And now ~ Caylin's first entry into the St. John FAMILY blog:

There really is something about meeting people who are in the family of God. Just a week ago I was on a plane to Louisville, Kentucky, when I sat next to a humble lady named Jackie. As we conversed I could feel a connection between us. This woman was filled with faith. We talked about God for most of the course of the flight and I can remember feeling the Spirit right there. It is an inexpressible warmth.
