Be sure to attend your next monthly service unit leader meeting to receive a copy of the new Volunteer Essentials and Safety Activity Checkpoints. Volunteer Essentials contains much of the information formerly found in the Leader Resource Book and Safety-Wise, now combined into one convenient document.Safety Activity Checkpoints document contains all the important safety information about activities such as swimming, hiking, trip camping, horseback riding and more that was formerly found in Safety-Wise. Each troop is getting a copy of each of these documents and they are also located on the council Web site http://www.girlscoutshcc.org/ where you can download the sections you particularly need. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask your service unit manager or membership director. |

Ready to Celebrate 100 Years of Girl Scouts?
In 2012, Girl Scouts across the United States will gather to celebrate 100 years of developing girls of courage, confidence and character that work to make the world a better place! Girl Scouts Heart of Central California is no exception and is working hard to plan activities for girls of all ages to celebrate 100 years of this wonderful organization! Our theme is Forever Green and we plan to honor this by council-wide tree planting, community environmental projects that promise to increase our visibility within the community and empower girls to make a difference in the world. Click here for dates you'll want to keep track of...
*NOTE - There was an error in a recent e-mail sent from the council regarding the Girl Scout's 100th anniversary. The e-mail gave the wrong date for the Overnight at the Mall event and the council-wide event. The correct dates are April 8, 2011 for the Overnight at the Mall and April 28, 2012 for the council-wide event. |
