Discover the New GS Events! Online Now

You can sign up now for any of the events through January 31, 2011.  We don't want you to sign up so far in advance that you'll forget the events you've registered for, so we will add the sign ups for events later in the year (events after Feb. 1, 2011) only after mid October, 2010.    Please continue to check the Web site on a monthly basis for the latest updates and any Special Events that may have been added.

Each troop is getting a copy of each of these documents and they are also located on the council Web site http://www.girlscoutshcc.org/  where you can download the sections you particularly need. Ready to Celebrate 100 Years of Girl Scouts?

In 2012, Girl Scouts across the United States will gather to celebrate 100 years of developing girls of courage, confidence and character that work to make the world a better place! Girl Scouts Heart of Central California is no exception and is working hard to plan activities for girls of all ages to celebrate 100 years of this wonderful organization! Our theme is Forever Green and we plan to honor this by council-wide tree planting, community environmental projects that promise to increase our visibility within the community and empower girls to make a difference in the world.  Click here for dates you'll want to keep track of...

*NOTE - There was an error in a recent e-mail sent from the council regarding the Girl Scout's 100th anniversary.  The e-mail gave the wrong date for the Overnight at the Mall event and the council-wide event.  The correct dates are April 8, 2011 for the Overnight at the Mall and April 28, 2012 for the council-wide event.

Strengthening the Council through Program Aides
The strength of the Program Aides in our council is a telling indicator of the strength of our Girl Scout program as a whole. Program Aides (or PAs) are girls in 7th grade and above who have committed to sharing Girl Scouts' experiences with younger girls. Click here for more information...
Do You Know an Outstanding Volunteer Who Has Served in Positive Way?

Every year we honor adult volunteers who have served their service unit or the whole council in a manner that is above and beyond the expectations of their position.

If you know a volunteer that has done just that, please consider submitting a nomination for one of the board approved recognitions: Appreciation Pin, Honor Pin and Thanks Badge.  Click here for more information...
