A New Version of a Classic Best-Seller:
The Not So Big House 10th Anniversary Edition

The Not So Big House 10th Anniversary EditionWe're pleased to tell you that due to the incredible staying power and the current timeliness of the message of Sarah's first book, The Taunton Press is releasing a 10th anniversary edition of The Not So Big House, which will be available on bookstore shelves later this month.

Sporting a new cover and updated text, this new edition includes a new introduction, plus a new chapter that allows Sarah to focus on some of the key Not So Big concepts.  The chapter features three "green" Not So Big houses that were built as a result of the homeowners reading the original book.

The Not So Big House 10th Anniversary Edition is due for release September 23rd, 2008.  Pre-order your copy here.

West Coast Green LogoSarah is thrilled to be able to participate once again in West Coast Green, the largest conference and expo on green innovation in the country.  West Coast Green quickly became one of Sarah's favorite speaking engagements when she discovered that it attracts so many who are aware of and appreciate the importance of the role that we each play in sustainable living.

This year the conference takes place at the San Jose Convention Center and boasts a fantastic array of speakers, including Nobel Peace Prize winner Al Gore, David Suzuki, Michelle Kaufman, Hunter Lovins, Chris Jordan, Chuck Reed, John Knott, and of course, Sarah.

In addition to being a speaker, Sarah is playing the role of Keynote Host (or, as we call it, "Inspiritor"), helping to weave all the messages of the conference into a coherent understanding of where we are headed in living sustainably.

Long-awaited Not So Big Remodeling Book
Due for Release in March 2009

Not So Big RemodelingSarah and co-author Marc Vassallo are putting the finishing touches on a book that readers have been requesting for years.  It's called Not So Big Remodeling: Tailoring Your Home to Fit the Way You Really Live, and we think it will be a favorite resource for Not So Big fans, especially in this time when buying or building a new house is out of reach for so many.

Chock-full of tips to make the house you live in into the home you love, Not So Big Remodeling offers solutions beyond mere square-footage, encouraging readers to think "better," with a more sustainable remodeling process, before they think "bigger" with a vast addition or complete revamp.

Not So Big Remodeling is due out March 10th, 2009.  You can pre-order your copy here.

When you make the time and the space for what you long to do, everything else shifts to accommodate it.  In my experience, it never works the other way around.
