Souper Bowl of Caring February 5

Courageous Parenting in Difficult Times
Gary Gilles has returned to First Pres to teach a timely First Forum class.  It takes courage to push against the cultural values that undermine the importance of the parental relationship in building character and values in children.  Come and learn more in this series for parents of children ages 3 through high school.  Class runs through February 26, from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the Chapel. There will be no class on February 19.  To learn more, visit the Education page on our website.
Ash Wednesday worship

On February 22, you are invited to Ash Wednesday worship at 7:00 pm, with Holy Communion and the imposition of ashes.  Begin your evening with dinner at 5:30 pm, sponsored by First Pres middle school youth.  More details to follow.

Communion class
On Sunday, February 19, from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm in Fellowship Hall, join Pastor Beth to learn more about the sacrament of Holy Communion.  We'll talk about this meal that Jesus gave us, why we celebrate communion, what it means, and more. RSVP to Beth Freese Dammers.

dentalDominican Republic Mission Trip update
