Greetings!
Welcome to Lee's News for Success!
I find it so amazing to watch all the incredible athletes in the Olympics who have worked so hard for so long to perfect their skills and talents to actually put themselves in front of the entire World as they "GO FOR THE GOLD." Every time I watch some event I am in total awe of their level of commitment and development of their talents.
In addition to the athletes, how about London and the Olympic Committee, the media, the entertainers, and the list goes on. So many people all responsible for making sure everything is "gold medal quality." Now that's heavy duty responsibility, in my mind.
How about this thought ... what if we all had that same "going for the gold" attitude all the time. Wow, would life be different for each of us and how about our entire Country? Would life be different? I think so!
I am reminded of my red wagon message: when you have a GOAL, A GAME PLAN and A COMMITMENT, you can do anything. That has been my core message throughout my life. I keep my miniature red wagon in my office as a reminder that I can do anything if I keep that message in my head. Let me ask you ... do you have a goal you want to achieve? If so, do you have a game plan that will take you there and have you made a MAJOR commitment to that goal and game plan? Trust me, it works. By the way, if you want to know what the red wagon has to do with this, come to one of my presentations and hear my "red wagon story."

REQUIREMENTS TO BUILD A SUCCESSFUL TEAM?
- Build a motivated team who desire to work together toward a common goal.
- Clarify the roles & expectations for each team member.
- Maintain open supportive candid communication with members of your team.
- Reinforce cooperative team behaviors that focus on collaboration versus competition
- Make sure all team members are on the same bus.
- Determine mutual team ground rules.
- Specifically agree on how the team will work together toward their goal.
- Remain aware of communication styles among the team to maximize communication strengths (DiSC).
- Rely on accurate data for making team decisions.
- Give... Share... Laugh... Have Fun Together ... Achieve Goals

Word 2010 for Dummies by Dan Gookin and Developing a Business Plan for Dummies by Paul Tiffany & Steven D. Peterson
I never thought I would be recommending any of these books because I dislike the "DUMMY" word but here goes. "Word 2010 for Dummies" and "Developing a Business Plan for Dummies" I was amazed how many "DUMMY" books are out there and they are all very helpful. In addition, many of them have disks in the back with forms, templates, etc. Obviously, I had a great need for these books because I got the new version of Word and it is different but great once you work through the differences. I am also in the process of developing a business plan for my new book "Six Figures, Mixing Friendship and Business Like a Good Martini" Check it out below ... it's a must read!

Traveling!
Boston, Jacksonville, Miami ... Regarding my travels, I wonder if any of you have experienced this situation. I have had 3 flights over the past couple of months that have fairly lengthy delays because the flight crew wasn't all there. Huh? What is that all about? I guess it's another way of the airlines cutting costs at the expense of the customer. Perhaps I should approach them about some customer service training. However, I might have to fly somewhere and here we go again.
