Greetings!

The month of February brings to mind Abraham Lincoln and other U.S. Presidents and of course, the much celebrated and loved holiday, Valentine's Day. We all adore Valentine's Day - the hearts, the candy, the valentines - all of the sweet components that make this holiday so special. At Springer, every day is a heart-filled day - days in which the staff and students appreciate one another and give their all to learning and succeeding. In honor of Valentine's Day, we send this wish to all of you...Happy Valentine's Day!
This is Your Chance!

Summertime is a Great Time to Keep Learning!

playground 1 When summer arrives, it's a wonderful time for students to do all the summer things that children love and should do - swimming, biking, family vacations, etc. Summer allows children a chance to unwind and let their imaginations and bodies reconnect with the outdoors. But it's important also for children to maintain academic gains made during the school year. Springer is offering a parent class on March 18th called "Keeping Academic Skills Fresh During the Summer" that helps you to decide what will  motivate your child to do summer reading, math, or writing. The class will explore community, online, and media-based resources that might engage your child's interest in the learning process. The class time is 7:00-9:00 pm with a fee of $10. Click here to find out more.
Taking Care of Planet Earth

globe 2Each year, Springer experiences an All School Quest in which students and staff share and explore a common theme with the extended Springer community. This year's learning theme is "Taking Care of Planet Earth," using science, math and technology. The Quest is noncompetitive and is open to all forms of expression. Undoubtedly one of the year's most popular gatherings, families will join students and staff on April 2nd at 7:00 pm to celebrate the students' creativity, ingenuity and discoveries regarding our precious resource  - planet Earth.
There's a New Eagle in Town!

celebrationWelcome Springer's new mascot! After much deliberating, Springer students voted among three different eagle designs to choose the look for their new mascot. The winning eagle  looks sleek, focused, and ready to soar! Look for the Springer Eagle to show up on t-shirts and sweatshirts soon!
