New Program for Children
from ACMi
Songs from the Circle, with Hugh Hanley
|

Songs from the Circle, the new singalong/playalong show from ACMI, Arlington's community access media outlet, is an invitation for young children and their parents to participate in some musical fun. The show is hosted by children's music specialist Hugh Hanley, whose work is gathering and sharing early childhood music activities and promoting participatory music play.
In each segment of the ten-show series, a lively clutch of children and parents welcomes home and school viewers into their circle of songs. The half-hour shows are filled with hands-on/voices-on songs, fingerplays, and music activities for young children, and they are so easy and fun that grown-ups love to join in too.
Home and school viewers can join the circle, learn the songs, and participate in the fun. The first show in the series will be cablecast and streamed via the ACMi website during the first week of October, with a new show airing in each consecutive week. Tune in and join the fun at 10:30AM or 7:00PM on weekdays, or view us online with Video-On-Demand (VOD) at www.acmi.tv. |
