ACMi Staff Adds One
Dan Black Joins the Arlington TV Team

Arlington, MA - April 28, 2011 - On April 11th, Arlington Community Media Inc.(ACMi) hired Dan Black of Northfield, Vermont to become its Youth Coordinator. Mr Black will work with Arlington middle-school and high-school students to assist them in taking greater advantage of ACMi resources to learn the science and art of video and television production. The resulting programs will be aired on ACMi channels and available for use by the schools themselves.
 Dan was most recently a project coordinator for NORCAM Inc. in North Reading, Massachusetts. He joins ACMi with a background in television studio production, independent filmmaking, and teaching. He started his professional media career at an infomercial studio in Beverly, MA as an Assistant Editor and Floor Manager. He has also worked for a screenwriting agency based in Los Angeles and New York, and has co-directed a full-length feature film that was recently broadcast on television to 2.5 million homes in New England. Dan loves to teach as much as he loves to learn. He is looking forward to working with some of Arlington's enterprising youth to develop great programing for Arlington viewers and schools. Arlington Community Media Inc.(ACMi) is the nonprofit P.E.G. access corporation contracted by the Town of Arlington, Massachusetts to provide locally produced and other programming for Arlington subscribers to cable television service provided by Comcast, RCN, and Verizon. ACMi programs are also available as streaming video via www.acmi.tv. ACMi also provides access to video and television production equipment and facilities at its studio in Arlington Heights.
