Why I Joined

Sue Hacker Nelson pic"My supervisor in my very first fundraising position told me that it was important to join AFP (then ICFRE).  I was brand new to the field and if you'd told me six months earlier that I would be a fundraising professional I wouldn't have believed it.

All these years later I'm still indebted to Linda for introducing me to AFP!  Through my membership I have learned so much, had numerous opportunities to take leadership positions, and made connections that have helped me throughout my career.

As an added benefit, I've applied for and received three scholarships from our chapter to attend national trainings!  The Indiana Chapter is so fortunate to have the resources to offer financial help to members.  Every member is eligible to apply and I strongly encourage everyone to take advantage of this program to increase your knowledge!  The application and instructions can be found on the chapter website."  -Sue Hacker Nelson, CFRE, AFP-IC Scholarship Chair

Make Yourself Heard

You know that we are now on LinkedIn and Facebook.  Let us know your thoughts and start discussions with your fellow AFP members. This is a great way to take your membership to the next level and get input from fellow fundraisers.  We look forward to hearing from you.
