LGBT Build Celebrates Gay Pride Month |
Join our Unity Build, Celebrating Gay Pride Month!
Back by popular demand -- Habitat-NYC will host our second Unity Build, a unique opportunity for members of the LGBT community to make a difference in New York City's housing crisis.
This year, Unity Build will be on Friday, June 4, at our newest South Bronx construction site.
Our 2010 Unity build co-chairs are Jim Gillespie, Stan Ponte, Todd Oldham and David Terveen.
We take pride in the diversity of our community and invite LGBT individuals (16 and older) to be a part of this event. This will be a great opportunity to celebrate diversity, network, learn new skills and work side-by-side with our future homeowners. Sign up now and build with Habitat-NYC on this special day. Unity Day builders also commit to raising a minimum of $500 in to help finance the construction of affordable Habitat-NYC homes. Fundraising is easy with our online program.
Don't wait to register! We can only accommodate 20 volunteers on the South Bronx site, and our builds fill up fast!
