Summer Is Coming

Aa logo b&w
Many parents and tutors have already let us know that they will continue their tutoring sessions over the summer. That's great! Please keep in mind that over the summer routines are broken. Scheduling consistent sessions can be a challenge. Students and teachers have to work around their vacation time. We suggest that you call your tutor to reconfirm your session the day before. If you want tutoring over the summer and your regular tutor cannot give you the summer hours you need, please give us a call. We have a large pool of excellent teachers who want extra hours over the summer.

Summer School

Summer school courses are condensed and can become quite intense. Feel free to give us a call if your child is struggling. We are fully operating throughout July and August.

Summer Vacation Tips

To give your kids some structure and maintain a routine healthy routine.

1)     Schedule snack times to avoid all day snacking and junk food binges. Of couse, you'll want to keep the 3 meals are already scheduled. Create a small snack time from around 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Keep raw fruit and vegetables accessible.

2)     Set a reading time every day. After lunch is a great time to schedule some reading time. If you can, try to model by picking up a book for yourself to read.

3)     Set a time for learning. If your kids received home packets from their school, or if you've picked out a particular workbook you'd like them to complete, set a regular block of time aside each day when they can work toward completing this project. In addition, plan to explore various topics your kids have shown interest in.

4)     Schedule some fun, regular activities.

5)     Sit down with your kids and make a list of all the places you'd like to go this summer and the things you'd like to do. Then make an effort to systematically go through the list, choosing one or two activities per week.
