Welcome back!!
Dear Bronco Family and Friends,
Welcome back to what I know is going to be another exciting and successful year at McKinney Boyd High School. I certainly hope everyone had a wonderful summer break and that you're all ready to get things rolling for the 2012-2013 school year. I, for one, cannot believe that McKinney Boyd is entering into our seventh year of existence. My how time has flown!
Please allow me this opportunity to welcome back those students and parents that have previously experienced Boyd, as well as welcome those new to our campus. It is my sincere intention to bridge the information gap this school year and do all that I can to communicate the events of our campus to our stakeholders. I intend to utilize our Bronco Beat, parent callout system, campus website, and our school marquis out front to communicate with our Bronco families throughout the year. That said, I welcome anyone and everyone to email me directly if you have a question or concern about anything pertaining to Boyd. This is YOUR school and we are ALL in this together, so please know that I fully intend for this to be our best year yet!
I'd like to also bring to your attention all of the upcoming events surrounding our August 27th start of school. As you navigate throughout the Bronco Beat you'll find that our Bronco Camp for incoming 9th graders is right around the corner on Saturday morning the 25th of August. If you are an incoming 9th grade student, you do not want to miss this exciting event, as it is your first chance to get to look around and familiarize yourselves with the campus layout, receive your schedule, as well as meet some of Boyd's best and brightest upperclassmen. Student schedule pickup dates are also posted in this letter. Again, welcome back everyone! I look forward to seeing all those familiar faces at our many events as well as meeting our new Bronco family members. See you all very soon!
GO BRONCOS!!
With high regards,
Rick McDaniel, principal

Submit Articles to the Bronco Beat
If you want to publicize your event or other information in the Beat, be sure to include a short "blurb" about your event or news article and an electronic copy of any forms or additional information. Write the "blurb" how you want the public to read it and keep it short (no more than 4 - 5 sentences). We know that all news can't be shared in 4 - 5 sentences so any additional information can be sent in an electronic word document, graphic (flyer), or pdf document. We are also be happy to share links to information on existing websites.
To add news to the Bronco Beat and campus website, please email JJ Ayers (jayers@mckinneyisd.net). Articles for submission must be turned in by Wednesday @ 2:30 to be included in that Friday's Bronco Beat. Please include information on how long you would like the article to run.) |
