What great costumes...
...of course, these guys don't wait until Halloween to put them on. These guys are members of our local, all volunteer, Union Fire District and they suit up like this, for us, any time of the day or night, whenever we need them. This Saturday Night we are holding a Halloween Party fundraiser to support our local Matunuck Fire Station and The SK Forest Fire Crew. Ever since we started clearing land here at our farm, these departments have been out to help us dispose of our excess brush and they really put on quite a show. So this Saturday night, join us for trick or treating in the maze, check out our pumpkin carving contest, wear your best costume for our costume contest and cap off the evening in front of our giant bonfire, compliments of the SKFD. They will be here all night to make sure that the fire doesn't get out of hand and to show off their shiny red trucks. $3.00 from every admission will be donated directly to each station's Fire Fighter's Fund. I'm afraid sometimes we take these guys for granted until we really need them, so help us show our appreciation to these dedicated volunteers and come out Saturday night for a night you won't soon forget.
Saturday night will be our last flash light night for 2010. If you haven't had one of our free s'mores by the slightly smaller campfire, now is the time. Last Ticket sold at 9:00 pm.

We all know, fall is the best time for lots of things...

...And, it's still fall!! So, once again, (this is the third time!) I'd like to mention that now is the time to get those bulbs in the ground. Don't forget, because time is running out.
Please note: the best bulb selection is at our Wakefield store
