I just got back from a very long ride...

...to Amish country and I picked up a ton (well, a few tons actually,) of the coolest pumpkins, gourds and squashes you've ever seen. If you are ready to decorate the front porch, we've got what you need.

I've been talking a lot...

...about mazes, hayrides and giant slides so I thought I'd take a break from the family fun for a while and get back to work. Fall is a fun and important time to be working in the garden and I know a lot of you are sharpening up your clippers and heading out to the backyard. Before you do, I just wanted to remind you that many shrubs should not be pruned any more this year. Your hydrangeas have been working hard all September making flowers to share with you next June and if you prune this fall, you'll be cutting them off now. So no more pruning on hydrangeas, rhododendron, azaleas, lilacs and a whole bunch more until after they flower. (Unless you don't like flowers.)

I get a lot of wonderful feedback...

about the emails we send you and they have proven to be a helpful marketing tool. I do worry though, that I may drive you all crazy with emails. Things change around here very quickly and we want to keep you up to date (without driving you crazy.) For this reason, we have embedded a Facebook fan page in the home page of our website. Now you can "like us" and have quick, little updates delivered to your facebook account or if you aren't a "Facebooker" just visit our home page for the latest info. The best part about all of this social media is the opportunity to share pictures. Click the link and check ours out.
