Fall is here at last...
and it's beginning to look and feel like it too. Of course right now is a great time to come out and experience the best of the season on the farm. We've gone to great lengths to make your shopping experience entertaining too. While you search out the very best mums, at a members only discounted price, the kids can spend their time in one of our three mazes and on a whole host of other activities as well. And when you're through shopping, you can all enjoy some fresh fall foods and a hayride through the Matunuck countryside. I can't wait until you can see just how creative our staff here can be.

A big part of why...
we opened our new facility is to offer opportunities for you and your family to learn and experience a little taste of life on the farm. While you can't come and milk a cow (yet,) you can feed our donkeys and pet our goats and there is more to come. A lot of the animals that were quite common in everyday life only 50 years ago are seldom seen today. Our heritage breed chickens are a great example of this. Stop in and meet them all sometime soon.

We're still here!!!
A lot of people are surprised to see our sign out on Route 1 and are wondering what is happening with our store in town. Obviously we are very excited to have our new facility open to the public and it seems I tend to emphasize it in our emails lately. After 17 years in town, we feel it would be really hard to convince all of you to come all the way to Matunuck to get your flowers every spring, so for the foreseeable future, we will be operating both locations. Wakefield still focuses on unique gifts, garden accessories, and of course great plants. Matunuck is a bit more experience oriented and offers a lot more space to display a lot more plants. We hope you find the time to continue to visit them both. Our in-town store will operate on the same schedule it always did, and our new farm will operate seasonally from early spring through Halloween. Some day we would love to offer you Christmas trees in the country, but not yet. Be patient and come to visit us in Wakefield for all of the usual things.

I thought you might like to know
that against my better judgment, I took a ride to Pennsylvania to hunt down interesting things to decorate your home and yard with. With any luck, I'll be back by Friday with a bunch of new and interesting things to see (and buy, I hope!). Stop in and see how I did!
