Trees blooming in September?.
Sure, why not? No, you probably haven't seen many trees blooming in late summer, but there are a few. One of my very favorite trees is one named for our old friend Ben Franklin. It's the Franklinia tree and it is thought to be extinct in the wild and is awfully scarce any place else as well. The only one I know of in this area is in the URI botanical garden and it's a beauty. I am fortunate to know a nurseryman who has mastered the production of this great tree and he let me have ten this year. They're budding up now and will be in full flower soon. Stop in and have a look.

It's time for our summer yard sale!
Believe it or not, it's about time for us to start changing over to our fall displays and we're even thinking about Christmas! That means we need to get a lot of leftover product out of the way to make room for the new and exciting. Come in this weekend and save 50 to 90% on a bunch of leftovers including last years Christmas ornaments, some scratch and dents in the statuary department and even some shrubs and perennials. If you're a bargain hunter you won't want to miss it. |
There's still a lot of summer left

and I know you've still got a couple of parties planned so come in and spruce up the front step or the patio with some nice, fresh annuals. We have a ton of nice color still available including many plants that will look great straight through the fall. There's no excuse to have a pot of ratty looking flowers on your doorstep, so stop in soon.
