Upcoming service changes to serve you better
Thank you for
partnering with Heartland Technology Solutions. My name is
Brad Schow and I’ve recently joined Heartland Technology
Solutions as Vice-President of Service. At HTS we have a
talented group of technical resources. They work hard to
properly design, install and maintain your IT resources. We
also have great vendor relationships that give our staff
access to industry leading experts who design the products
you use. We love technology and the things you can
accomplish with great products.
We continually strive to take better care of our
clients. With ever changing tools and technology available
we must always ask ourselves if there is a “better way.” I want to relay to you some of the
things we are doing behind the scenes to provide
better service.
We are consolidating a number of current support, monitoring
and alerting tools into one. This one tool will allow us to
provide a more consistent support experience for you. It
will also allow us to better leverage the depth of technical
talent we have across all of our HTS offices. This tool is
currently installed on our servers and we are in the process
of configuring and testing the functionality. Once ready, we
will be rolling it out to you and communicating with
you the advantages it brings. I want to be clear that the
new support tool doesn’t change what we’re doing for you or
the nature or terms of any agreements. This is just a way
for us to be more efficient behind the scenes in how we
deliver our service.
We are hiring engineers in addition to consolidating our
tools. Once additional engineers are on board, we will be rearranging
our engineers into new support teams. These teams are
designed to enable us to get support tickets to the best
resource as quickly as possible. Whether the issue is best
handled by a local “feet on the street” technician or
remotely by someone specialized to address your particular
issue, our goal will be to get your issue to the right resource and
have it resolved as quickly as possible.
These are a few of the changes we have planned over the next
few months. We’re excited about how they will allow us to
serve you even better. We have great clients and a great
technical staff. Now we are investing in our system and
process to better serve both. If you have any questions or
comments, please email or call. My email address is
bschow@heartlandtechnologies.com
and my extension at HTS is 1250. I welcome any questions and
feedback. Thank you for allowing us to partner with you for
your IT needs. |

If you don't have worry-free IT, what are you waiting for?

Monday mornings
are tough enough - you don't want to also be dragged down by
IT emergencies or dealing with the constant hassles of
maintenance and upgrades.
Has this
happened to you? It's a Monday morning after a relaxing
weekend and you're ready to get back to business. You walk
in the door, sit down at your PC. . . and find out you're
down. Maybe your server died and your whole business is at a
stand still, with no one able to work for the foreseeable
future. Maybe it's just your PC, but you still have no
access to the files that are only on your hard drive, so you
can't work efficiently.
Here's another
scenario: You know you're going to need to upgrade your
network and make some big decisions about your business's
technology. Your business has grown over the past
couple of years and it's time to upgrade your hardware,
maybe add another server to relieve the load across your
network, and look into some business continuity and
productivity solutions so that you are backed up and
working efficiently. But you're not sure if your existing IT
department can handle all of the work involved in installing
and maintaining such a large, complex IT system.
What will you need? Continue reading. . . |

Business Continuity
Tip: Hurdles
In a recent poll
Agility Recovery asked their followers, what is the biggest
hurdle you must overcome for disaster recovery planning? And
as the results below show, gaining support from upper
management remains one of the largest obstacles faced by
business professionals today.

While disaster recovery planning
is often perceived internally as a complex and daunting task, this doesn't
have to be the case. Watch Agility's archived webinar on securing management
support for business continuity and learn the important steps you can take
to break through the clutter. |
