2011 in Review
It is important to reminisce about the past year and look back at how much was accomplished in 2011. We had many successful events, campaigns, and partnerships with other organizations. It was impressive to see so much of the community come together to support our local economy and each other and we would like to thank you for your support of locally owned independent businesses in Boulder County. We would also like to take a moment to reflect on some of our efforts over the past year.
Our local campaign efforts included Buy Local, Eat Local, and Bank Local. Buy Local was supported by our media sponsors and Eat Local was led by Transition Colorado. The Move Your Money Campaign kicked off with our open forum event in May and we successfully inspired more residents to switch their banking to a local credit union or financial institution. We would like to thank Boulder Valley Credit Union and Elevations Credit Union for their support sponsoring the campaign.
In addition to our monthly networking and educational events we participated in many important partnerships and community-wide events:
- Getting Down to Business (Small Business Week)
- REAL Awards
- Out Boulder
- Home & Garden Fair
- Boulder Green Streets
- Farmers Market - Eat Local Week
- CRC Solar Homes Tour
- Boulderganic After Hours
