Day by Day Prayer Points to Humble Ourselves before God
Dear Lord... 1. Help me to seek You first every day and to be thankful. 2. Give me wisdom to know when I am deceived and open my heart to all truth. 3. Create in me a clean heart and renew in me a right spirit. 4. Don't let anyone lead me astray with empty philosophy and vain deceit. 5. Give me a spirit of humility. 6. Give me a strong desire for righteousness and holiness. 7. Soften my heart that I may have a teachable spirit. 8. By Your power help me to cast down all strongholds in my life. 9. Reveal the true condition of my heart and cultivate a right spirit within me. 10. Let my actions reflect Your values and not those of the world. 11. Place a burden of prayer and fasting in my heart and in my lifestyle. 12. Break me from the need to be in control that I may submit to my spiritual leaders. 13. Show me when I am rebellious and do things that are contrary to Your will. 14. May I always be reminded that I will reap what I sow. 15. Help me cultivate a desire in my heart to be obedient to Your Holy Word. 16. Help me forgive those who hurt me and to show mercy as You have shown mercy to me. 17. Fill my heart with peace, happiness, and joy and help be focus on heavenly things. 18. Fill me with Your goodness so that it becomes a natural way to treat others. 19. Give me strength to resist temptation and harmful habits that might control me. 20. Open my ears to Your voice as Your Spirit leads me. 21. Fill my heart with repentance for the things I have done that grieve You. 22. Please remove bitterness in my heart that causes me to harbor unforgiveness. 23. Let my words and the mediation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight. 24. Please remove the pride that keeps me from seeing myself as You see me. 25. Give me the desire to obey You and the power to please You. 26. Help me to bless You at all times and let Your praises continually be in my mouth. 27. Because there is power in words, help me to speak only good things. 28. Help me to never grieve Your Spirit. 29. Empower me with Your strength so that the enemy's tactics won't entice me. 30. Help me to always know and recognize truth. 31. Transform me into Your likeness. |

2009 The Year of Seeking
Unite with us each evening at 8:00 PM (CST) for one minute of prayer!
Ladies Ministries of the United Pentecostal Church International has declared 2009 as The Year of Seeking. During this year we will seek God's face through fasting and prayer for an awakening in our souls for His heartbeat.
Join us in a unified effort to seek God's face as we come before God with humility to seek the paths of righteousness and holy living.
We also ask that you join with us in fasting the first Monday of each month.
"For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments" (Ezra 7:10). Sincerely, Ladies Ministries UPCI |
Prayer Idea
Prayer boxes for Valentine's Day!
We each drew children's names and made boxes for them. We filled them with candy and other treats but the most important thing placed into the boxes was the notes of encouragement!
The children loved the goodies but the follow-up prayer was the most important part to us parents.
My children's boxes and prayers are in their rooms on a shelf and when one of them has a new request I help them write it on paper then we pray over the request and put it into the prayer box. When the prayer is answered we open the box and find the request and record the day that God answered it. |
Praise Report
We have several children that come to Sunday school on the church bus. Because their parents don't come to church (yet) our DOZ prayer group consistently prays especially for these children. We call each one by name and pray as specifically as we can in regards to their needs. A few days ago one of these bus children, a nine-year-old girl, was almost abducted at knife point. She managed to wriggle away and run to safety. I thank God she was protected from harm. DOZ and the church is the only prayer covering she has. What an awesome task we have. What a mighty God we serve, well able to hear and answer! -Debbie Akers, Pastor's wife, TLC, AZ
We had our 1st DOZ prayer meeting in October. At that time, we felt led to focus primarily on our backslidden children over age 18. One of those was the 19 year old granddaughter of one of our ladies. After her mother passed away from cancer, her father stopped bringing them to church. In November this young lady started coming back to church with her grandmother. By our December DOZ meeting, we had our 1st praise report as the Lord had refilled her with the Holy Ghost just days before!
At our December meeting, we felt led to focus specifically on two children. One was a 6 year old little girl with unresolved health problems, and the other was a 12 year old girl who had been suffering from extreme night terrors for months. To date the 12 year old has not had even one single night terror since that meeting. (I know because she's my daughter.) Praise Jesus! As for the 6 year old, I'm claiming a praise report in advance for what GOd is going to do! I am excited about each and every meeting because the Lord is doing great things! -Kim Ward, DOZ Coordinator, 1st UPC, Senatobia, MS | |
