Focused Prayer - Spiritually Fit
Week 1 - Warm Up
In The Name Of Jesus Christ We Pray . . . · Train us to become spiritually fit. · Remove the laziness that causes us to become spiritually unfit. · Lord, we are determined to live a disciplined prayer life. · We flex our muscles of great faith and pursue a Godly life. · Daily we lift up Jesus; our redemption draweth neigh. · Diligently we push toward the mark. · Keep us mentally alert, disciplined, and focused on our goal.
Week 2 - Work Out In The Name Of Jesus Christ We Pray . . . · Train us to become Godly people. · We will put into practice all that You have taught us in Your Word. · Daily we will exercise self control. · Give us power and understanding to live according to Your will. · We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. · When we become discouraged, remind us of Your promises. · Our hope is in You Lord, we will not become weary in doing good. Week 3 - Lose Excess Weight In The Name Of Jesus Christ We Pray . . . · Guide us in our workout so that we may become spiritually fit. · Fear will no longer weigh us down; our hope is in You Lord. · Align our goals with Yours and help us to remain on course. · There is power and strength in prayer; we seek You daily in prayer. · Lord, lighten our load; we give You every weight that breaks our spirit. · Let the scales of righteousness weigh in our favor. · Give us the determination to stay spiritually trim and fit.
Week 4 - Stay Spiritually Fit In The Name Of Jesus Christ We Pray . . . · Nourish our bodies as we read Your Holy Word. · We will stay the course and not allow Satan to get us off track. · Let us lay aside every weight and sin that so easily ensnares us. · We will run with endurance the race that You have set before us. · Empower us to deal with problems from God's perspective. · Daily we will take a walk with Jesus. · Instill in us the importance of staying spiritually fit.

There are two building blocks of the Christian life: the Word and prayer. These are the source of all spiritual sustenance, guidance, and help. Prayer and the study and use of God's Word are not simply spiritual activities; they are the skeletal structure of spiritual living.
Prayer, in its many forms, has been explored for us by outstanding teachers. It is explored by us as we diligently apply ourselves to the noble art of praying. Intercessions, supplications, thanksgivings, forms, and patterns of all prayers fit into the life of prayer, but prayer as a lifestyle is what we need the most.
With lifestyle praying, consistent Bible study, and meditation, you will be able to relate to God's Word, will, and provision to all of life as you discipline yourself to the consciousness of His indwelling presence. "Christ in you."

PRAISE REPORT
About four years ago my daughter went through a time when she didn't agree with the teachings or standards she had been taught all of her life. She had been disappointed with church and life. She started working a public job and found friends that were a worldly influence and ventured away from church and family.
My heart was broken and I struggled trying to reach God in prayer for my daughter. She was of age and lived on her own in an unsafe atmosphere. I felt like a failure.
We had a group of our church ladies that started meeting on Monday evenings after work. They were as faithful as clock-work. It was during those weeks and months that the Daughter's of Zion actually carried me through prayer. I got to where I had no strength and I felt all alone and was grieving as if there had been a death in my heart with my daughter not living for the lord.
About 6 months went by and then I saw her come into our Sunday evening service. There was such a powerful presence of God that moved during that service and I looked back to see my daughter weeping and praying. The ladies that had prayed so faithfully for months along with me for her had gathered around her and it wasn't long until the glory of the Lord came down on her refilling her with the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
I rejoice as I tell you, two years later she has married a wonderful Pastor's son and is in a UPC church helping in the ministry along with her husband.
I have testified many times that if it had not been for the ladies of the DOZ I don't know if I would have survived my dilemma. I learned that no one has a guarantee that their children will live for God no matter how much you teach them through their early years but the prayers of a righteous man availeth much!
I urge all of you to continue to pray. God will answer and will supply every need according to His riches in glory!
I have heard my husband say this many times "You can't have a testimony until you've gone through a test". I thank the Lord that I do have a testimony now and I thank the lord for the ladies that came together and were sensitive to the needs of others. To God be the Glory, Joy Hamby, Pastor's Wife, Rogers AR

DOZ Prayer Meeting Ideas
"The Main Event" The prayer room for the Daughters of Zion meeting in Jacksonville, North Carolina, was transformed into a boxing ring and the women prayed against specific spirits that attack our children (hindering worship, interfering with their prayer life and study time, keeping them from repenting, keeping the fruit of the Spirit from developing in their lives, etc.) -Reflections
"Gift Box" Our December DOZ Prayer Meeting was held at the Pastor's home. (Had a great turn out!) We had all the children's names in a "Gift Box". Key words were displayed at the dining table that were used in the prayers as we each held the "gift box" and prayed. We felt such a lovely presence of God among us, and after prayer we had a tea party with homemade cookies and enjoyed great fellowship.
Also, we have a Prayer Journal to record all the monthly praise reports. The Lord is doing a mighty work! Because of DOZ we are seeing lives changed in our church! We are so honored and blessed to be part of this worldwide ministry! -Madeline Philbrook, DOZ Director Gospel Gateway, Fitchburg, MA |
