The 2012 Houston Modern Market, to be held at
Winter Street Studios, located at 2101 Winter Street, February 24-26, 2012 with an architectural lecture by historian
Stephen Fox (2/22) and a Benefit Screening, Texas Premiere of "MODERN TIDE: Mid-Century Architecture on Long Island", by film director Jake Gorst (2/23) to kick off the event (see event schedule below for lecture & film locations), promises to continue to be Houston's finest and largest modern event in the city's history, thanks to its founder, Brian Hoffner of Live Good Design. He is a strong proponent of good design and is passionate to educate attendees about Modernism while shining a light on 20th century modern masters along the way. He is a board member of The Design Council of the Museum of Fine Arts-Houston and The Dominic Walsh Dance Theater-Houston. Partial proceeds benefits Houston Mod, a non-profit aimed at preserving Houston's modern heritage.
