Greetings to all UMF Members. We are excited to be
participating in the 9th Annual Charity Festival being
held this Sunday in Tampa. Being UMF Members, you
are no doubt wondering how you can help. I'm glad
you asked! Here's what you can do to make this
year's Charity Festival even more successful:
1. Maulana Baig will be there on the scene. He is the
only one authorized to distribute Islamic literature
and talk to people about Islam at this event. Let's
support his efforts by being there to volunteer to
help distribute donated clothing and toys, prepare
and serve food, etc. Call UMF at 407-804-1504 and
let us know we can count on you to be there. We
can arrange transportation if you need a ride.
2. We need donations of used clothing and toys that
are in good condition. These items will be distributed
to those less fortunate at the event. Please give
donations to Mohamed Manekia or Naushad Virji in
Orlando. In Tampa, please drop off items directly to
Maulana Baig or at the event.
I would also like to remind everyone that we have a
few Muslims in nursing homes or hospitals that would
appreciate visitors. Please contact Zuhair Ebrahim
for more details, or call the UMF hotline at 407-804-
1504.
