Salamun Alaikum.
On the holy beginning of this blessed new Islamic
Year 1426 Hijri, the United Muslim Foundation would
like to extend wishes of Peace, Unity and Solidarity
to all.
By the grace of the Almighty, we have accomplished
much over the last year. We would like to thank all
those who contributed with time and money for all
our events and drives - from collections of about
$7000 for Tsunami Relief to projects closer to home
helping local needy Muslim families for Eid in the form
of clothes, toys, money for medicine and groceries
and Qurans with translations.
This year too, we aim to strive with God's guidance
to
attain our objectives to Promote Unity, Clarify
misconceptions about Islam and to Serve Humanity
as best as we can.
We are excited to begin this year with a very special
project called 'House that Faith Built 2005' that we
will be working on with Habitat for Humanity in
Seminole County, Florida to help a family in need.
For a successful
build, we would like to raise money for the building
materials, recruit volunteers to build the home
alongside Habitat's homeowner partners and other
faith based organizations, and have lunches prepared
for other groups
as well. It is a fun build and churches of all faiths will
be involved in working together on this project.
Please contact us for more information if you would
be interested in participating with UMF on this
exciting project.
Our supporters and members nationwide are our
backbone and pleasing Allah alone our inspiration to
keep doing what we do. The sacrifices of those holy
and noble laid before us to uphold our religion drives
us to make a positive impact on the communities we
live in, thereby portraying Islam's true spirit of Caring
and Peace for all.
We urge you to visit our website at
