"Why Wait?"
Your Success Thought for the Week of August 22, 2007

By now you've surely experienced the down side of waiting. You didn't ask the girl soon enough and she married someone else. You waited for that perfect time to go after that promotion and someone else got it. You procrastinated initiating that new program until it was 'perfect' only to learn that your competitor beat you to the punch.

While you were waiting for your life to move forward, others took action. The saddest part is that your intuition was providing you with hints all along which you chose to ignore. I call these intuitive hints. You know, those little inklings that seem to come out of nowhere (but they're actually from your own mind) such as:

"Today is the day to:

  • Ask for what I want.
  • Enhance or leave this relationship.
  • Gain clarity on something that is problematic or unclear to me.
  • Pay more attention to realities around me than pressures within me.
  • Listen deeply and honorably to what my intuition is telling me."

Your intuition is different from that negative gremlin voice inside. Your intuition's sole purpose is to move you forward in a clear, powerful, masterful manner. It whispers to you "It's time to act". You are wise to listen to this soft voice.

Your negative gremlin voice holds you in place through such tactics as blame, fear, jealousy, doubt, anger and the 'what if's.' This voice loves to blur fact with fiction and keep you in the state of confusion. You are wise to quiet this voice in favor of your intuition.

This is the week for you to stop your own private waiting game. Sure, you may not be able to make bold changes today, but you can begin to make plans, do research, talk to those in the know, and, most of all, listen closely to those soft intuitive hits that whisper to you "Why wait any longer?"

Enjoy your discoveries and have an intriguing week.
