Your Success Thought on "Focus"
July 13, 2005
Focus breeds success. Scattered focus brings scattered results, if any. Everything's in full bloom right now, including your energy level. It's tough to maintain the intense singular focus that produces results. For example, in my area of the world we can depend on fewer participants at regularly scheduled meetings and when they are there, their focus typically is not.My request of you this week is simple yet powerful. Take the next few minutes to jot down your top three areas of focus for this week (Wednesday to Wednesday). Don't make it overly complicated. By Wednesday, July 20, 2005 what do you truly want to have accomplished that is not completed at this moment? Next, have a little fun. Over the coming few days simply notice what distracts you. How easily are you distracted?
None of these alone are bad yet they stack up. When you look back at your week and are hard on yourself for not having accomplished more, above lies the answers. Don't look at anyone else, look in the mirror. Only you can maintain your focus. No one else has that power over you. See what there is to learn about this familiar yet overlooked concept and enjoy a clearer focus this week!
