Greetings!
Aducci pillows
We're heading into the home stretch of Summer - back to school ads are appearing on tv and football is too.

Last month, I mentioned my trip to the Edith Wharton home in Lenox, MA. I've finally gotten all my photos posted - 88 in all! I pretty much filled up my camera memory on that one. But, of, how inspirational - even the empty rooms have a story to tell!

If you're looking for some quick and budget conscious ideas for updating you kitchen and bath - check out my articles for Divine Caroline: Make a Splash with Color and Kitchen Remodel on a Budget

I have a couple of fun DIY pillow projects - some old and something new! And if you're looking for something to do, I've got that too!

As always, if there is anything I can be doing for you, please don't hesitate to ask. Whether it's in person decorating or budget friendly virtual decorating services - I can help you create a beautiful, comfortable and affordable home.

Happy Decorating!

Linda

In July, I spent the long holiday weekend out in the Berkshires. Undoubtedly, the highlight of the trip was my visit to Edith Wharton's home The Mount. Edith was not only a literary star, she was also a design star and is considered to have started the profession of interior design. Her home showed her attention to detail - both inside and out.

Make a Splash with Color in Your Kitchen and Bath

It's often said that the easiest and least expensive way to make a big change in a space is to paint the walls. And that's very true. But, it's also very true that selecting colors can be an enormously daunting challenge. And these challenges are doubled in the kitchen and bath, where there is so much else going on-from cabinetry to appliances, backsplashes to flooring. These are our most expensive rooms and many of us find color selections to be the hardest in these spaces. But, it doesn't have to be that way.

Kitchen Remodel on a Budget

We all know that kitchen and bath remodels are pretty much the most stressful projects (both financially and emotionally) that one will take on in the home. And, obviously, the larger the remodel, the larger the stress. The question is: can you reduce the impact? I think the answer is yes; but it will take careful evaluation and planning. We first need to ask ourselves-why do we want to remodel our kitchen? What is the purpose or goal? If you are a gourmet cook who loves to entertain, that is a very different goal than the regular homeowner who wants a pleasing looking space with good re-sale value.

I'm thrilled to share with you my new online radio program called The Skirted Roundtable! I am producing this weekly radio show via podcast along with two other nationally recognized interior design bloggers - Houston based Joni Webb of Cote de Texas and LA's Megan Arquette of Beach Bungalow 8. I conceived of this idea as a way to expand and enrich the conversations that are taking place online and around the coffee tables at many levels of the interior design world.
