Greetings!
Hello! It's finally been warm here in New England - and we're all walking around with a little extra spring in our step! I hope you're having a flower filled season as well! To mark the season, I am including an easy and elegant DIY floral arrangement - you'll be your own Winston Flowers with this one!
As I mentioned last month, I am doing a special writing project for the website Divine Caroline and it's now live! Click here to learn more about designing a greener bathroom and how to differentiate between design styles.
A big new project, which I am very excited about, is the launch this month of The Skirted Roundtable - a new online radio show that I am producing and hosting along with two other nationally recognized bloggers. Read more here!
As always, if there is anything I can be doing for you, please don't hesitate to ask. Whether it's in-person or virtual decorating services - I can help you create a beautiful, comfortable and affordable home.
Best, Linda
PS: If you or someone you knows would like to reach out to over 20,000
monthly readers - from design enthusiasts to professional designers and
the media - let me know. I offer sponsorship placement on my blogs and
newsletter. If you run an online business or service - it could be
right for you!

DIY: Floral Arrangement
One of my favorite local florists, Winston,
is known for their spectacular arrangements made with the freshest
flowers. I was wandering through their site looking for a little Spring
goodness and came across this pretty arrangement, appropriately called Spring Garden.

This is a great DIY floral arrangement - easy for anyone to recreate and it will save $$$ too!

I'm taking to the airwaves!

I'm thrilled to share with you my new online radio program called The Skirted Roundtable! I am producing this weekly radio show via podcast along with two other nationally recognized interior design bloggers - Houston based Joni Webb of Cote de Texas and LA's Megan Arquette of Beach Bungalow 8. I conceived of this idea as a way to expand and enrich the conversations that are taking place online and around the coffee tables at many levels of the interior design world. From homemakers to high end professional designers to the media - we're all fascinated with the behind-the-scenes journey of interior decor. The online world is ever expanding and this seemed a great way to expand with it! We'll be posting two weekly 15 minute audio podcasts - one on interior design and the other on blogging. We're taking questions via email and will be welcoming guest hosts as well! Think of it like "The View" for interior design world!

Help My Kitchen & Bath:
In April I began a new relationship with the website Divine Caroline. For four months I will be writing a series of articles, and taking questions, on different aspects of kitchen and bath design.
Here are the first two articles published:
It's Not Hard to go Green with your Bath Remodel
"Green design." "Environmentally friendly." "Tree Hugger."
We bandy about a lot of catchphrases these days when talking about
"going green," but do we really know what it means? And, is there a
relationship between "going green" and "budget conscious" design and
living? I believe so and it's only now becoming apparent.

Design Styles: What's the Difference?
We often hear these three terms-Traditional, Transitional, and
Modern-in relation to interior design styles. In truth, many of us
don't actually know the difference either by definition or by sight.
And, more importantly, we don't know which will work best in our own
homes. Read on here.

Store Watch: Beautiful Hardware
I recently attended the Boston Society of Architect's Residential Design & Construction
show. One booth really jumped out at me - Needham Decorative
Hardware & Lock of Newton, MA. They were showcasing the most
beautiful cabinet bling I have ever seen! Read on here.

A Stairway to Heaven
Stair cases can be some of the most beautiful architectural aspects of the built environment. They also provide the subject for some amazing photography too!
