This is it, the Back Room Wines Holiday Gift Idea Email.

THIS FRIDAY, December 11, 5 to 8 P.M. is our annual
"Bring an Interesting and Good Bottle Night."
Entrance fee for two is an interesting and GOOD bottle of wine. Share your wine with others and check out all the others. This is our 6th Annual "Bring a Bottle" tasting and they've always been fun and full of interesting bottles and interesting people. Come this Friday and help make it the best Bring A Bottle Night ever.

For those of you who don't know what wine to give, but prefer to give bottles over a gift certificate, this is the answer! Fill out this form and you're good to go. Tell us where you'd like the wines to come from (Napa, all of California, international), the color (red, white or both), the budget, and any special instructions you may have. Write a note to the recipient and hand the rest over to us. Our wine expertise won't let you down. We'll please the knees off your wine gift recipient. T-VINE GRENACHE
If a PERFECT Holiday wine did exist, this might be it!
T-VINE Grenache "Frediani Vineyard" Napa Valley 2007, made by T-Vine founder, and former owner, Greg Brown. 
Greg has told us often of his wine epiphany, in France,
with a bottle of Grenache, a baguette and a hunk of cheese. From that
seed has grown one of the most consistent, delicious endeared Napa
Valley wines. As for this 2007: honest, this could be the best T-Vine
Grenache ever. Reminds me of a serious Grenache from the French & Spanish Mediterranean with its punch of tannins not normally associated with the variety in this
country.
If you're thinking about your traditional holiday menus, like Cioppino, raviolis in a rich tomato sauce, strong artisan cheeses, roast ham, turkey and prime rib, T-VINE Grenache fits as snugly as my Christmas socks. Yes it's very flavorful and very versatile (especially with a 30 minute decanting). This wine's aroma soars with from the glass with sappy berry fruits and cracked black peppercorns. Tastes of raspberry jam, hard cherry
candies, a little bit of oak and more black & white pepper. This vintage is more powerful and "chewy" (tannic) than vintages past. Only 525 cases made.

Grand Finale
| Most exciting wine to arrive in the shop this week for me?
It's the OREMUS Royal Tokaji, 5 Puttonyos, the superb, rare dessert wine from Hungary. Not cheap at $79/500 ML bottle, yet worth every precious drop. A special occasion wine for sure, it will go nicely with out Christmas pudding. In fact, it may BE my pudding.
Drink more Côtes du Rhône.
