The Importance of Export Compliance & Procedures
Keep in mind that in the US, exporting is a privilege - and the privilege to export can be revoked if a person or company is found to be in violation of export laws and regulations. While it is not a requirement to have an export compliance program in place, written policies and procedures are not only a good idea, they could be a mitigating factor if export violations are found. For more information on this topic, check out our blog.
If you are looking to establish or update compliance procedures,
join us for a full day seminar on July 18.

Promoting Southcentral PA in Brazil
 | | FCADC's Mike Ross and David Mackley in Brazil |
Earlier this year Volvo Construction announced the establishment of its North American sales headquarters and rentals program in Shippensburg, PA. Their South American operations are being consolidated in Pederneiras, Brazil.
Last month, Volvo invited the Franklin County Area Development Corporation team to participate in their "Supplier's Day" to provide information on opportunities for direct foreign investment by their South American based suppliers in Franklin County and the southcentral PA region. PA's trade and investment office in Brazil accompanied the FCADC team during their trip. To date, eight companies have expressed interest in learning more about site location opportunities in support of Volvo's Shippensburg campus and two have already scheduled site visits. |
